Yeah...I was initially waaaay uninterested in the 4k upgrade cause I really don't care for the film itself. However, now I'm feeling like I need some Cheryl Lawson in 4k lol

Is Scream really as bad as everyone says? I'm a sucker for whodunit slashers, so I was really tempted, but I controlled myself.

I finally caved after the good comments and picked up the Dead Pit/Scream UHD bundle.

Finally able to grab Dead Pit, Scream, and Hard Rock Nightmare.

Scream is pretty dull but I’m committed to owning every 1980’s horror movie. It’s not even close to the worst movie I’ve ever seen, it’s not even the worst blu I own, but it’s not good.

Bring on Final Exam. Love that movie.

DEAD PIT 4K has been selling out very quickly. We want to thank everyone that purchased this very involved and costly release. We just eliminated one of the bundles and added 25 more at the store. Luckily my first copy worked. Never seeen the movie before but I quite enjoyed it. Also popped in the included blu-ray to compare a few scenes and the 4K is definitely a noticeable improvement.

Should I try to watch Dead Pit right away? Is there a chance it’s defective or is everything that makes it to the DF store good to go?

It's just like every other 4K disc you get these days, some of them are scratched due to the replication plant issues. And some may be scratched bad enough that it affects playback. There's nothing inherently wrong with the release

No scratched on my Dead Pit and it played fine, first time viewing and it started slow but once the halfway point came and the action picked up I loved it!

Like the other poster said, nothing in particular with this release. Just over the last year, more and more discs are arriving scratched from a bunch of different labels. It is pretty bad now. Most of my discs now (regardless of who releases it) are arriving scratched. Best thing to do now with any new disc is to examine it and if you see scratches, watch it before the return period is up. The only thing I am worried about is down the road these scratched discs that work now will have issues when you try playing them on a different player but there isn't much you can do about that now.
