I'm going to the local dispensary for the first time today to see if something will work to relieve me of these cluster migraines. I didn't realize until filling out my time card at work that it's 4-20. I also had to get some cash out since they don't take checks or cards and no joke, I have $420 in my wallet.

I have a feeling this is meant to be.

I visited my first one a month or so ago when we were in Seattle. It was an initially odd feeling to experience and openly talking about, but then got super cool shortly thereafter...good luck!

Thanks. It would be nice to have a quality of life back that doesn't involve oxygen tanks. Social life, hockey and exercise have all gone by the wayside the last 5+ years while we've been trying to get this figured out.

Just kinda going through the motions this week.
Four days away from my birthday.
Four days away from the last thing my mom ever fixed me before she died.
Tuna salad and coke cake.
One week and four days after that she died of a stroke on the day of my parent's 65th wedding anniversary.
This is the first year without her.
It hasn't gotten any easier.
Some days... mostly nights... it still hits like a truck that it's real.

Have so many things I need to do.
Class, work, socialize, etc.
But I can barely concentrate, barely get out of bed the closer it gets to those two dates.

"She had a full life."
"She's no longer hurting."
"She was and would be proud of you."
etc etc
Doesn't make it any better/easier...

Might try recreating her tuna salad and coke cake, but even if I don't mess it up (almost a guarantee with the cake) it just won't be as good...

Hate this time of year...
Don't think I can ever be excited for my birthday again...
Not that I had anyone to celebrate it with anyways...

Sorry for your loss RavenCodex. It sounds like you had a pretty good relationship with your mom. I'm always envious of people who have had a better one than the one I have with mine.

The Mrs and I think we've finally figured out what was going on with the buyer of our house. She prematurely applied for a line of credit before the house closed. Fingers crossed, the house closes on schedule

Isn't most media on that format video only?

When we had DVD-A, part of the problem was expense and the need for another player rather then the standard DVD, which helped kill the format. We still adopt CD as our standard, but instead of going forward, everyone wants to sacrifice quality for convenience with their downloads. I hardly see any place that sells 24-bit downloads and at a reasonable price.
