I don't think that's how it works.

The 150$ ones aren't amazon, they're 3rd party sellers.

When an item sells a lot, if they exceed what they have in stock/know they can have in stock, they stop letting you order it from them.

Amazon must not have changed their own price for the item as of yet.

So the second it comes back in stock and they flip the switch back on, it's at the price they have in their system(unless they change it inbetween).

We might be misunderstanding each other on this, but the $11.99 item is shipped and sold by Amazon.ca. Not a third party seller.

Yes the 11.99$ is crazy(which is why i'm pissed I'm never able to get it ), my point is that amazon isn't "dropping it", they're just not correcting their price error/price and the system makes it available at that price again.

Fair enough, that makes sense.

Hopefully it comes back again so more people can pick it up. Now if only we could get a few more $11.99 4K box sets!

I order plenty of Scream Factory discs and it seems like every disc is full of scratches. I obviously have been exchanging or even fully returning these if the replacements also come scratched to Hell. Anyone else constantly dealing with this and worried they’re going to get banned from Amazon? Discs are getting more and more expensive and I’m not going to accept scratched discs for $40, but I’ve also heard that too many returns gets you a ban.

You'd have to return a high percentage of your stuff to get banned. Unless you're returning half of what you purchase for a significant period, I wouldn't worry about it.

As far as I've heard (hasn't happened to me personally) Amazon will send you a warning first before banning you. They'll ask for an explanation as to why you are returning so many items.

So you are probably fine until that happens. Although at a certain point if you keep having the same problem with badly scratched discs from Shout/Scream Factory you might want to reevaluate whether you want to continue supporting them and if it's really worth the hassle for all the returns.

I'm at the point where if it's scratched and still plays fine I don't worry about it because whether it's Shout/Scream Factory, Criterion, WB, etc. scratched discs are way too frequent to bother returning every single disc.

The last disc I returned was the 4K of Shrek 2 because it had circular scratches all the way around the surface of the disc multiple times like a manufacturing issue. The replacement had a couple minor scratches, but not worth returning as it plays fine.

Unfortunately they release most of my favourite titles, but yes, I am getting to the point where I have started just accepting the small scratches. Unfortunately I know this is going to bite me in the butt in the future as just recently I had a disc that had a small scratch and it started skipping throughout. And I rarely have time to watch every film and the hours of extras before the return window is up. It does make me question switching to digital, although I’m thankfully not at that point yet.
