Well I thought this is good deal:

Warhorse steelbook pre owned just £8 + £2.50 P&P:
http://uk.webuy.com/product.php?sku=8717418354527

Only 9 in stock online. Postage is a jiffy bag though but every steel if got online from them has been in very good condition.

I ordered one and I'll post pic when it arrives

United Kingdom HMV sales

Just to confirm that ALL HMVs are participating in the ongoing £5 steel sale - I spoke to the manager of my local one and the sale isn't on anything recently released, but there are some shops dotted around that have a great selection of older releases for sale at that price.

He even claimed that there are one or two shops around that he knows have a couple of copies of Thor and Captain America, but he wouldn't tell me where they were (if he even knew), so keep your eyes open for those!

Here's a list of the steels selling for £5 currently:

Pirates of the Caribbean 4
War Horse*
Final Destination 5
Super 8*
Cowboys & Aliens*
True Grit*

the ones marked with * means that they're quite rare and not easily found within every store.

I'm not entirely sure - I don't own the steel so I can't check myself - but I think it is region free. I'm sure it's up for sale on Amazon.com and listed as not region locked.

EDIT: Yes it is region free. Just checked.

If anyone could get a copy of Super 8 and Cowboys and Aliens would be very grateful, I am in UK and rang me locals stores earlier to which they had none of any of the above :-(

I also live in UK if this helps?!?

Thanks in advance.

The starred items certainly are hard to find! I've been to a few HMVs and seen plenty of FD5 and PotC4 steels - but not a whiff of any of the others. I've also seen Karate Kid steels on offer (at £5) and one store had Touch of Evil steels on the sale shelf (but at the "bargain" price of about £20).

On the subject of HMV, I noticed the Chester branch had about 3 GREEN HORNET steelbooks for £8 each the other day.

Sometimes I envy you guys for being able to drive. Here in London, we have to depend on public transport (good for the environment and I lovet) but you need loads of patience. I remember spending 2 1/2 hours to grab a copy of Cabin in the Woods in pouring rain for a member here.

I would advice you to import from Korea / Japan as it is 50% cheaper.

Definitely hard to find. And that Touch of Evil price is ridiculous - in Liverpool, it's at a reduced price of £15 which, if you ask me, is still quite expensive for a sale. An amazing steelbook, though, and well worth the cash if you're prepared to pay it.

My local HMV today had none of the above titles in at them prices, they did have a few steels on offer but not that cheap. They were Priest and Rampart at £12 and also Green Hornet at £15 they had a copy of Cars 2 also for £10
