yes bypass the router. Connect directly from your ps3 to your modem (the one you got from ur IP) Me and pill did it and our game worked.

your hook up i am assuming: DSL Phone line---to modem---to router---- to PS3. Now you just want to eliminate the router to direct connect to your modem. Cool???

Yeah. Did the revised rule say you couldn't? Let me know so I can fix it.

So I take the phone line and connect it from the modem to the PS3 or the Ethernet? Stupid question but just making sure so I can try it tonight.

The Ethernet's not hooked up to my modem, it's hooked from my Desktop thing (what's it called ) to my router. Then there's a yellow cable connecting my modem/router.

Grouping all the new guys together isn't really fair. I'm pretty sure brendon is the only newest guy that's broken a rule so far.

Yes, your phone line should already be connected to your modem. ( u have DSL, right???) There should be a ethernet conencted tou your modem. Just disconnect the other end (opposite of the modem) and connect that end to ur PS3.

DSL Line (phone)---to modem----using ethernet connect modem to PS3

U may also fix ur router by putting ur ps3/router in DMZ. Have you tried that??? If not here is some guides: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/610541

"- Defensive Control : You’re allowed to control any of your Defensive players (including CB, FS, etc. etc.) before the play, and before the play ONLY. I manipulated this rule because sometimes, in man coverage, Defensive players don’t line up with their man and need to be placed in the correct spot. During the play you’re allowed to control the FS/SS ONLY. If the opponent’s QB throws the ball, you’re then allowed to control any player in order to swat/pick off the ball. You’re allowed to control your Defensive Linemen anytime. You may not blitz with anyone except for your D-Linemen. You need to let the CPU take advantage of that; once the play starts, you are then allowed to switch to them if you’d like."

The league will advance tomorrow. If there any un-played games then they will most likely be simmed. I'm done texting everyone to see if they scheduled their game, really.

wait, you can't control LBs in coverage now? Can I appeal this rule considering I don't see how people can cheese using LBs in coverage? In my view, controlling LBs manually is crucial considering how many people run multiple receiver sets with speed receivers/TEs dragging underneath. Helps a lot against overpowered TE post/crossing routes (you see how TEs dominate the receptions category for many teams... and it's not even close). Anyway, please reconsider.

Playing only as rushing D-linemen and safeties is a bit limiting and/or extremely risky for most people.

I never play with my safeties either. If this is a legit rule, I might have to bounce b/c the only people I control in my defensive schemes are the LB's b/c the Zone coverage is horrendous. U should be allowed to control any player as long as you are NOT setting them over other players to set up some sort of NANO type blitzing. We all know people put fast players in slot and run crossign routes. Control of LB's are needed to help contain this. Bringing a safety down to help out will leave the big pass plays open.

haha, to each his own I guess! But, coming from an artistic background, the character models in 2K are quite bad (and no, I'm definitely not saying Madden's are great either... although, I do think they are better save for the HORRENDOUS next-gen Madden 2006/2007 models).

Perhaps, if the "N" in NFL stood for night elf, the 2K models would be more apt...
