Communication has been pretty poor... I pre-ordered (through DD) back when the release date was in August or whenever it was first set for, and was never even notified about the delay. It's only thanks to this thread that I know the date was pushed back and many signatures were lost... I would have expected at least a generic form letter/email with a bare minimum explanation...

Hmm, I ordered mine on 08/06/13 and my last name also starts with an "M".

I think it is just random. So as long as I get it by next weekend I'll be happy.

*Edit looks like I got mine as well.*

I think the order in which shipping notices are being sent is random, based on what have I read here and elsewhere. I agree with the poster who basically stated that a lot of orders probably have shipped, but the shipment notices are lagging. One does not equal the other.

For the record, I ordered through PayPal on 7/8. Received a shipping notice early yesterday morning. And my last initial is in the lower half of the alphabet.

yeah i noticed HMV added it to their site. though if you buy it through the CLM site you'll get it way before that with the bonus disc. sure you're paying a little more but its worth it.

What email address are you guys getting shipping notifications on? Your Paypal email or another?

I have two emails.. one primary Gmail, and one for PayPal. I use my primary Gmail for ordering, but my PayPal email for paying.. no emails on either yet.

Not sure if this was mentioned here, but Joe Zito showed up to the Dark Del signing last night. Pretty awesome and unexpected!

First Name "A" Last Name "P"

I actually thought about the use of names as well. I haven't seen anyone state that they got their confirmation of shipment before I did yet, and since my name started with "A" I kind of thought that that might be how they were organized as well.

Wow, I had no idea! Still not sure why everyone who wanted this doc didn't jump on the autographed edition for roughly $10 more, unless it was for aesthetic reasons.

Had I thought for a second that there would be people willing to pay $200+ for a signed copy I would have ordered one just to sell, but I never guessed prices would actually go that high. As it stands, I just wasn't interested in a bunch of autographs. Their are very few celebrities that I'd care to meet/have sign an item, and none of these folks makes that list.

Personally there was no one listed that I really cared to have autos of.

I think a lot of people feel that way. Plus, if you go to a con which there are tons of Horror ones your bound to find these people there as well.

Very true, but unfortunately at a con you are looking at a minimum of $20 a pop these days. So the DD order is a pretty great deal if you intend to get some autographs anyway.

Some do conventions, some do not. Really hard to get say Joe Zito or Tracie Savage.
Many of the people at this signing have only done one show...maybe 6-7 have never done a show.

Heck, Manfredini hasn't done a convention since like 2008 maybe? He's doing one next March, but Friday The 13th generally gets the shaft at conventions.

All horror cons are slowly becoming the NORMAN REEDUS shows these days.
