I actually didn't know they released it as a boxset.... that sounds cheaper (and now that I found it for sale, it is). I actually grabbed the individual releases of each.

The film is available in a very good image quality. However, several scenes are inserted in a poorer quality. Since these are almost exclusively violent scenes, these seem to be scenes that were probably missing in the old HK version.

Nevertheless, at least at one point I noticed a cut: In one scene it is hinted at how one of the prisoners is forced to have sex with an infected woman. On the Blu-ray, this scene is shortened by a few settings.

I'm sure the new trilogy release is mostly fine, but those "issues" kinda make me want to wait for the Massacre Video release to see if it's improved in any way (when they finally release it in 2 or 3 years, heh). I'm not in too big of a rush I suppose.

They are known for not often answering messages. I asked about the Devil bundle that I wanted to get that had no shipping price for Canada. I ended up just getting the disk from Amazon after not hearing back.

Who the hell knows with them. They haven't been answering questions about anything either. Until there's a preorder up for the first movie without a 4k disc then I'll assume it's coming.

I'm more than happy with the LE DVD Box Set of the films that I own, put out by Japan Shock out of Holland.

I've only listened to about 5 mins of said episode & it is feckin' annoying that they can''t pronouce names/titles of films properly. They pronounce the last word of "Memories Within Miss Aggie" "Angie" DESPITE there being NO "N" in there & they also pronounce "Avon" as "Avalon".

Yeah I heard a few as well but happy to listen about weird cinema while stuck in traffic.

VS has the rights to Wet Wilderness and Hot Summer In The City and has restored both in HD, however they are only available digitally due to music licensing.

Is the law more lenient with digital media vs physical media? Maybe because digital media wasn't around when the laws were written and provisions weren't put in place for that type of technology?
