I wish that this film’s deleted scenes still existed. It’s well known that some scenes were missing as confirmed by the actors and surviving stills.

Agreed. The actually filmed Sissy Spacek as a six year old looking through the fence at the neighbour sun baking. De Palma used an actual 6 or 7 year, running when her mother calls which was shot showing the kid from the rear only. I've only ever seen I still of Spacek as the six year old looking through the fence and a shot of the woman sun baking.

I had no idea there were so many different Releases of this!

I'm getting the Impression here that the New Arrow Version is slightly superior in Image Quality - But I'm curious about Bonus stuff? Is it different on every version?

The Arrow contains all of the Scream video extras but has an exclusive commentary and featurette.

Plus a booklet, although more recent printings of the Arrow release might omit it.

It's worth owning both versions, really, especially for an all-time horror classic like this.

Thanx!

Are there two different versions of the Arrow? I get a little Blurry-Eyed trying to compare the Special Features, but they looked the same.

These say they're both Single Discs.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B075TNGS2T/

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0791VZ99Y/

It said there was only one left in the U.S. and I took the chance and ordered the it for $17, Free Delivery. Then immediately after I ordered it, there was another for $15 plus Shipping.

He did something similar with Genevieve Bujold in Obsession in a flashback where the plot twist gets revealed, though that stayed in the movie.

The still of Spacek as a child comes from the Stephen King novel, where she rains down a hailstorm of stones on her house. The scene was also shot for the 2013 remake and again got deleted, but it made it into the mini-series.

Both links for Carrie come with one disc. Your first link is for the LE, which comes in a slip box with a poster, book, and lobby cards. Your second link is for the vanilla edition. None of the swag is included. Same disc, with same special features though.

You know what always bugged me? I can’t seem to figure out who the actress that plays Ms. Finch is. She’s that counselor in the principal’s office who gives Carrie her permission slip to leave school early after the shower incident.

LOL, I think she's in Mr. Mom also. Great character actor, she does a voice in Wreck it Ralph and she's hysterical.

You’re thinking of Helen. The character in question is wearing red horn-rimmed glasses.

Her name is Helen Shyres, she’s a student and one of the bullies.

Wait, what? She’s a counselor or she’s a student? I’m getting even more confused!

Ms Finch is the principal’s secretary, not a counsellor, and she is an older woman not played by Edie McClurg.

Then what's the curveball about her being one of the bullies? Are we all day drinking during quarantine?
