Man, the clever on this thread...truly an 11/10.

So...my copy's delivered. I think I may wait until nightfall to check it out, though. With all the talk of how dark the new grading is, I'm thankful I recently disabled the ABL on my OLED.

Just picked up Die Hard from there - didn't see the other two.

You mean to tell me that the movie does not come with a remastered blu-ray? What the h#*l is going on here?! What are you paying the $20 for then anyways?! A 4k that isn't "native" 4k and an audio that is more outdated than a flip phone. Where is the Atmos?!

I knew something was up when I saw Grease. The studios don't care anymore about home video releases. Just stream and be done with it. 4k is a joke. At least with blu-ray they take the time to care. Take a look at Kino Lober's excellent blu-ray presentation of Straight Talk. That's how it should be done.

It is indeed native 4K. Why would you think it wasn't?

it was a joke (wink wink nudge nudge and all that). I know it's in native 4k. I was just sending up the usual complaints about 4k releases.

Ah, ok. Missed that one. I suppose one of the dangers of good satire is how difficult it is to discern from reality. lol

I'm watching my favorite movie ever in 4K HDR right now and it's glorious! Anyone who says this isn't a substantial upgrade is kidding themselves. I can die happy now.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if it was on sale or if that was the regular price. I was all set to pay the $19.96 + tax for it.

The Grease UHD is certainly better than the old and new blu-rays.

Forgive me if this has already been covered, but does anybody know what's up with the two reverse shots of Bruce Willis in the very first scene of Die Hard? He's having a conversation with the guy on the plane about making fists with your toes, and the two medium close up shots of Willis have a strange ghostly motion to them, almost as though those two shots were sourced from a lesser source.

I noticed this originally on the blu ray and was hoping it would be resolved for this UHD transfer, but was disappointed to find those two shots still suffered from the strange motion blurring.

"Use the search function".

The search function isn't always useful depending on what you're looking for.

As has already been mentioned, there are loads of useless posts in here like "picked mine up today" and "mine shipped!!!!" and "best movie ever!!". But somebody asks a question about the product and they get jumped on. If somebody is tired of seeing the same question getting asked repeatedly, they can feel free to ignore it and hopefully somebody else will answer. It's not the same person asking every time, you know. It's different people. It's a common question. Maybe if common questions/answers were posted on page 1 for each thread, it would reduce this problem. At any rate, these forums should be here to help others.

Looks fantastic. Best looking Fox release so far and the best it's ever looked for me by light years. Color, blacks, skin tones, tons of light sources, shadows, reflections... it all looks great.

I love the "how the human eye works" effect the lighting/shadow contrast has in a lot of shots, especially some of the stairwells.

What a great day for UHD.
