Sure, but we know for a fact that a 4K transfer of A Clockwork Orange has existed for many years now, and it still hasn't been officially announced for UHD yet.

I wish WB would announce it already. This is the one SK film I'm excited for on UHD.

A 4K transfer has, but an HDR grade probably hasn’t. That’s the bit that takes more time.

Hopefully not long. Can you imagine the beauty of the film in UHD? I can only dream.

If Warner is going in release order, they’ve already skipped Lolita. That’s especially frustrating, as I’m still waiting for the remastered Blu-ray edition they promised years ago.

I am hoping that the deal with Lolita is that Criterion has it.

Screw that! Then we’d be shackled to 1080p. I used to do backflips when Criterion announced a title. Now I’m like, “Well, another 4K just bit the dust!”

Criterion is overrated.

Well considering I'm not on 4k and have no intention of upgrading, I'd be very happy with a Criterion Lolita. Obviously opinions vary.

Most everyone else in the 4k section is into 4k. Criterion means no 4k release. F that noise.

I’ll never understand when people say they won’t upgrade. Especially in a 4K thread lol

They never promised it would have been remastered. The 40th anniversary disc for Clockwork had the same transfer with new extras. Lolita wouldn't have been any different.

I love it. Jack feels our pain of SK 4K releases too.

Agreed but barring some big Kubrick box set are the chances of getting Lolita on UHD that high anyway? Early 60s black and white sex comedy - even with the Kubrick branding it seems an unlikely one. I wish though, it's one of my favourites of his.

Was the scene where Shelley Duvall encounters the skeletons in the lobby still there?
