Sure, but we know for a fact that a 4K transfer of A Clockwork Orange has existed for many years now, and it still hasn't been officially announced for UHD yet.

A 4K transfer has, but an HDR grade probably hasn’t. That’s the bit that takes more time.

Kino acquired the rights to the film a couple of years ago and were going to release it on Blu-ray, but a particular individual (most likely Mann) prevented them.

If Warner is going in release order, they’ve already skipped Lolita. That’s especially frustrating, as I’m still waiting for the remastered Blu-ray edition they promised years ago.

Well considering I'm not on 4k and have no intention of upgrading, I'd be very happy with a Criterion Lolita. Obviously opinions vary.

Most everyone else in the 4k section is into 4k. Criterion means no 4k release. F that noise.

They never promised it would have been remastered. The 40th anniversary disc for Clockwork had the same transfer with new extras. Lolita wouldn't have been any different.

Agreed but barring some big Kubrick box set are the chances of getting Lolita on UHD that high anyway? Early 60s black and white sex comedy - even with the Kubrick branding it seems an unlikely one. I wish though, it's one of my favourites of his.
