I got the email about this...weird sale. Let's say you want 2 of their newer blus, at 22 each. So you'll get 2 for 22, but then add on shipping.
Or...wait till Feb when they'll have at least 40% off, those will be 13ish and they'll cost you 26.
Sooo, this sale at least with blus saves you a whole....$4.
And it doesn't even stack, they say you can only pick 2 items per category.

Been there, done that. Not being a VS die hard, I don't really care about all the ins and outs, just what applies to the sorts of things I order once or maybe twice a year. Most of the stuff there is just not for me. And it still takes too long for things to ship.

Have been holding off on getting Shout's Collector's Edition release of Vice Squad, in the hope that a UK boutique label announces their own release (haven't got their Collector's Edition release of The Entity either).

I think the chances of a new UK (or US) release of The Entity are probably very slim currently. It's a Fox/Disney title, and they just aren't licensing out much of anything these days...and older licenses are quickly dying out too. They also confirmed with Shout that they had no interest in doing a new transfer/scan for the movie. Shout attempted to get a new HD scan for their release back in 2019, but Fox/Disney said no. Shout licensed the film right before the Fox acquisition was completed, so it's probably a small miracle it even happened.

Personally, I would grab it while it's still available. It's one of my favorite Horror films that still manages to creep me out...and while it's an older HD transfer, it still looks quite good. The Barbara Hershey Interview on the disc is a welcome addition too.

Then I guess you already know what you're in for when boutiques have sales and shipping is delayed. No surprises.

Yeah, The Entity is pretty great. I haven't picked up the Scream Factory Blu, though, so this is the kick in the ass I needed to finally grab it.

I was actually turned on to The Entity many years ago by Peter Tscherkassy's 1999 avant-garde short film Outer Space, which uses scenes from The Entity as its source footage. It's not for everyone, but I love it. Recommended viewing for the cinematically adventurous (it can be found on YouTube), but definitely not for anyone with photosensitive epilepsy.

Anyone in the U.S. still waiting to receive their Imprint order?

Last year, it took a little over 5 weeks to arrive; however, the grand majority of that time was the process of getting the shipment packed and in the hands of the delivery company. This year, Imprint was really on top of things and the shipment only took a few days to be mailed out. Instead, it seems my package has been held up in customs for 2 weeks. Last year's package made it through customs in 1 day. I've had some packages from other countries in the past two weeks be mailed, pass through customs, and arrive all in the time my Imprint package has been stuck in inspection.

Just curious if anyone else has had their Imprint package caught up in the same way mine has.

Mine just came in; was packed ok with bubble wrap, but it looks like someone used the box for a seat on the plane. Picking up the items, I can hear pieces of plastic floating around inside I wish you better luck.

Was just about to ask that myself. I only ever did orders of ten or more before.

I remember one order I made last year on their Archive sale had 4 titles in it, and that arrived in a large loose bubble mailer. Needless to say, there were some cracked cases.

The other order I made had 8 titles or something, but it arrived in a box.

A couple of years ago my order of the Harry Palmer box set purchased directly from Imprint/Via Vision took three months to get to me.

I guess I'll just wait and see if MovieZyng can pull off a real sale early next year. Thanks.

Did the Arrow sale end "early"? I'm seeing banner ads on the site, but clicking them it looks like all the prices have been reverted.

Shout sales/selections have been pretty disappointing. May be the ones during the year will be better.

Daymm, I watched this package make it to my post office early yesterday morning on its scheduled delivery date, and shortly thereafter it ended up two post offices down the road. And now early this morning it's back to where it was on Saturday. How many more times is that gonna happen this week?

I had a package pass my house 4 times on the road to different, local (up to 80 miles apart) postal-hubs last week which, non-surprisingly, made my package several days later than initially projected. Somehow that just doesn't seem very efficient when you start thinking about it on a major scale.
