In-game custom music...
In-game buddy chat...
In-game buddy list...
Screen Shots...
WMP-able....

These are things Sony knows they should have had and needed... come on boys, this is typical stuff that you haven't sorted out to half the worlds surprise! Lets get some more innovation!

I find it hard to believe each disc printed doesn't have some type of unique ID on it. All you would have to do is register that ID with your online profile and walah, you now have copyright protection. When you sell your disc, you would have to delete the ID or the next person registering that ID on their profile would automatically delete your ID authorization.

Possibly even scan your receipt and show proof of ownership and they could give you the free download.

There has to be some kind of workaround!

It's not the most feasible thing in the world, because HDD disk space isn't keeping up with the amount of space being used on the BD. You could do maybe a handful of games at a time.

Now that I think about it, that might be enough for me!

How about a ripoff of the achievement system from the 360. It's an awesome system to get people to buy or rent games they otherwise would not have. It's great competition too.

It's so you can brag to your buddies that you made it to level 9 while they are stuck on level 8. Can it get any geekier? Basically, it measures the amount of pu$$y you can't get.

I would love to see In-Game XMB (or at least in-game messaging) so I don't have to log out of a game to read a message or send one.

Also custom soundtracks would be nice.

I would like to see in system decoding for ALL the sound formats. Also a multichannel output cable with wires for every channel so I don't have to buy a new receiver. Also I would like the ability to use my iPod or any other MP3 player in the USB input and stream music into any game or listen to it anytime for that matter. My 360 does this surely it wouldn't be that hard for Sony to add it on. That's all I can think if for the moment. Let me think about it a little while. I bet I can come up with more...

I would like to see a revision of the Parental Controls for PS3 game playing and Blu-Ray/DVD viewing. The current numerical restrictions are vague at best and should probably follow the ESRB and MPAA ratings since the 360 and Wii follow those ratings already.

Yeah, just so Sony can get into yet another patent/licensing issue with yet another company

Isn't there supposed to be something like this coming with Home? The whole trophy thing in that I believe.

I'm hoping Sony will add direct DSD output via HDMI for SACD playback.

The ability to access HDD in game mainly so you can put on your own music during a game. For example your music could be going "sunshine lollypops rainbows and everything...." while your brutilly killing loads of hybrids on resistance. (Something to try out )

Default Continuation for SACD

and addition of DSD capability over HDMI.

This has been dragged out by manufacturers for too long and players and receivers are way overpriced just to get the DSD capability across HDMI.

Cut out the older connectivity and go with HDMI and optical only.
They would save a bundle right there just in board design and simplify
user cabling issues.

They of course coud just go optical, HDMI is only used for copy protection issues.
