Gotta love those guys at Atomic. They packaged my steelbook in a larger than usual box with lots of bubble wrap. Steelbook looks great. Has a kind of purple-ish finish. I may actually keep the J card for this one.

I stupidly put off preordering this and then panicked when I saw how it was unavailable/backordered pretty much everywhere. I have had the Umbrella release for years and bought the Sony Blu-ray literally weeks before the 4K was officially announced.

Luckily, I managed to nab a copy of this from an eBay seller (who had a bunch in stock) for $40. I wasn't holding my breath as it was a pre-order sale and I thought it could possibly get canceled, but I was pleasantly surprised to get an update with a tracking number today.

My Atomic order was delivered earlier and my Amazon order is being delivered today.

Yes! Mine just shipped from Amazon via USPS. No estimate yet from USPS other than picked up from awaiting item from shipping partner. Ironically, my Amazon order still shows arriving Friday and no shipping notification. However, when I track package, I get the item has shipped information with USPS tracking number.

Now, I hope my NOES steelbook set follows the same path.

I ordered mine from Amazon on July 14th.

Yup. Apart from the B&W opening (which I think is well done) it’s pretty much the same film we always knew. Any cuts restored are subtle, but I’m left with a gut feeling that was the most satisfied this film has ever left me. The ones that stuck out to me were the skinny zombies headshot being far bloodier, and the burnt head zombie gets a pretty impressive 1 second extra demise.

They’re all in the same high image quality as the rest of the film too.

I wonder if the guy who first brought up the dropout had the latest firmware installed on his player? It's a slim chance, but why not check all the boxes?

To my knowledge, only one person reported a audio dropout. Several people (myself included) reported no audio dropouts. I was listening for it, so I would have heard it. Not saying it couldn't have happened, but to me the Atmos sounds good.

Honestly, this looks f-all like the TT, Umbrella or 2018 Sony. Why? Because this actually looks bloody good now.

Ordered a backup copy from Orbit last week after having recent steelbooks damaged by Amazon. That copy is arriving today.

If I ever get my Amazon copy (they have cancelled pre-orders on me in the past) and it's in good shape I'll be selling it. Next time I'll just wait for a boutique shop to list one of these steel LEs and not deal with Amazon at all.

Amazon is the LAST place I'd preorder LE Steelbooks from. I took a chance with Krull because it was just a casual purchase. Sure enough they used a baggie to ship it and it arrived with two dents. Amazon isn't only unreliable, they're untrustworthy. You guys have something against independent e-tailers like Atomic or Orbit DVD? You're GUARANTEED to get your item and it will be shipped well protected in a box. I mean, you can't lose
