The impatience in me draws me to get the trilogy then, just to get that first movie. I do have kids, and they both are fans of the Turtles in one incarnation or another, so I'm sure they'll get more mileage out of the sequels that I will.

How are other Arrow limited releases box set treated after the supposed limited run is over? What's the chance of them releasing these separately?

As expected, the featurette at the Fathom event was around 6 1/2 minutes long and played before the movie at the scheduled start time.

It started out by showing the alternate ending first seen on the German DVD. The quality was the same as the German DVD and had the "G.T. PRODUCTIONS" watermark on it. For whatever reason, they didn't tell the viewer what it was so, if you're wondering what it is, it's the alternate ending.

Isaac Elliott-Fisher of Definitive Film then introduces himself. He was one of the producers of the "Turtle Power: The Definitive History Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" documentary.

While collecting material for the documentary, he says they found behind the scenes footage and most of the dailies for the movie. He then shows some of the deleted scenes found in the dailies. While the deleted scenes from the dailies are playing, there is an audio commentary by director Steve Barron and Isaac Elliott-Fisher. They discuss the making of the deleted scenes that are shown.

The deleted scenes are an alternate opening with a manhole cover being blown off, an introduction to Casey Jones, and Tatsu tying a bandana to Shredder's shoulder.

The source of the dailies is VHS but not as bad quality as the alternate ending on the German DVD and the dailies don't have the "G.T. PRODUCTIONS" watermark on them.

There is also some behind the scenes footage of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles creators visiting the set.

The featurette ends with with Isaac Elliott-Fisher advertising his BackerKit which is selling the upcoming four hour documentary "TMNT: Evolution, Mutation, Reboot", a coffee table book, and action figures.

If you can't make it to a screening, the dailies with the Steve Barron/Isaac Elliott-Fisher audio commentary and the behind the scenes footage are supposed to be included in the deluxe version of the "TMNT: Evolution, Mutation, Reboot" documentary:

Also, there is a new Domino's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pizza commercial at the start of the pre-show so be in your seat ten minutes before the scheduled start time to see it.

Well, I guess that rules them out of being included in the Arrow set!

Will the "original art" be theatrical, or VHS art?

Wish they would save all of that extra stuff AFTER the movie instead of before it. Also, did the 1990 New Line Cinema logo play before the movie?

I'm still waiting for this to come to theaters. I'd rent out an entire theater for myself. In the least, they could play Pizza Power, Count On Us, or Walk Straight before the TMNT movie starts. Give the fans what they deserve!

More than likely, it'll be the theatrical art, Arrow never really uses the VHS art.

Nostalgia is a hell of a drug. I made a second pre-order to get the Arrow exclusive version as well.

So what Fathom is showing is the old crusty HD transfer rather than even the newer SDR transfer, with poorly inconsistently tonemapped highlights, that was on Paramount+ for a little while.

I wonder if any of this material will be included on the bonus features that arrow is going to announce for the set in late September. I’m thinking the reason they did that was because they wanted to secure as much content as they could, so an extra month would allow them to secure any last-minute things.

I really enjoyed the Turtle Power documentary, and would love this new one, but the price for either blu ray edition is quite steep. I get it’s supporting the production, but yikes.

Yeah, i really only wanna see the first one, maybe the second one, the third i don't need to see ever again, although they are adding commentaries, maybe the commentary for the third movie will explain why it sucks so much, they even changed the costumes for the turtles.

The commentary for the third one is just the director quietly sobbing for 90 minutes.

That is because Jim Henson who made the costumes passed away before the 3rd movie was made so another company made crappy costumes for the 3rd movie

lol, it just starts with the sound of the hammer of a gun being pulled back and then the director saying "i'm sorry" in a mumbled half heard voice, followed by a loud bang.
