Hey Savvy.

I think I would enjoy the email newsletter (the one sent out on Mondays when the selections rotate) more if it indicated which titles where on special that week. Sometimes it is hard to pinpoint which ones are on, especially now that there are $13.99, $14.99 and $15.99 price points.

Right now it lists one or two of the specials and regular-priced titles with the "as low as..." blurb, which is kind of misleading.

Also a list of pre-orders added that week would be good information.

If you had any UPCOMING promos, that would also be a great way to announce them as I imagine the mailout reaches a lot more people than this thread.

...not to say you shouldn't announce them on here first!

Hi SavvyGuy... just wanted to weigh in on the great/not-so-great stuff discussed in the last several months on this forum. CHCANADA came out of the gate with fantastic offers, and continues to do so. Yes, other Canadian retailers have finally stepped up to the plate with some rare but very welcome sale pricing on blu-rays, but CHCANADA consistently does so. That's HUGELY appreciated by us blu-ray fans on somewhat of a budget (speaking for us dads, or students, or folks who spend more on movies than life necessities)!

However, the biggest issue we've all run into with our CHCANADA experience is the shipping. Free shipping is another one of those amazing incentives offered to us here on the forum, however the end result is incredibly frustrating for several reasons. Shipping times and lack of shipment tracking are all annoyances. But what I recently experienced with a preorder during a free shipping offer was completely unacceptable and still has not been explained. I paid a higher price for two movies ($23.99) compared to the hugely discounted $13.99 blu-rays...and had nothing arrive in my mailbox an entire MONTH after they had been officially released. No correspondence from CHCANADA, and no explanation why there was no stock when I enquired a month after the release date.

In the end, I found both movies at a local retailer for cheaper. I'd love to support everyone at CHCANADA, especially with the overall great support you've shown us fans of HD media in Canada. But with the gaping holes in communication and practices, it's tough to continue to do so.

Did anybody ELSE order World's Fastest Indian from CHCanada.com?? I put the order in Wednesday, along with African Queen (wicked!) and the order confirmation the next day says they are BOTH backordered!! What the..?!

I can sorta understand African Queen being OOS, being such a good deal this week, but Fastest Indian?? Really?!? IT must be WA-A-AY more popular than I was led to believe...

CH has got to, got to, GOT TO get their supply chain working properly, Savvy!

UPDATE: It seems it was the confirmation that was wrong -- both the movies arrived yesterday!

I hope you're able to help make some changes Savvy, but I can't say I'm feeling very optimistic with the way things have been with chcanada and columbia house. The main complaints seem to be that items purchased are not being shipped out and there is no way to track orders. It seems to me that the basic elements of any retail business should be:

1. Sell product.
2. Provide product in a reasonable time.
3. If a reasonable time is not attainable for some reason, keep the purchaser informed.

If CH hasn't already figured out that these are things to be expected in any online transaction, I fear they may be beyond hope.
