Should be getting close to x18 time isn't it? You really will have a great selection of speakers between the dyns and totem have you decided if your going naim to drive them in the future?

I am considering either Naim NAP DR and NAC n272 or Bryston components, the new Cubed series Power Amps are outstanding honestly for the price they are sweet as hell.

Yes the speaker will be great to choose between, the X-18 is intend to be used in the office with the 151 Power DAC mini. Will more than likely have them Thursday night but it might actually be Friday.

Those are gorgeous, I also like that they're not glossy finish.

I know it must be early in the break-in period, but I bet they sound pretty sweet still. How do they stack up to those Fires, being a little over a third of the price?

They sound very promising Tommy, Very well balanced and a nice mix of Excite and Focus Technology. For now they are a big congested in the mids and high a tad forward but I still think they will have the perfect tonal balance the X-16 did not have which dod not stop it from being a great speaker, those are tiny cabinets barely bigger than X-12 and X-14.

The cabinet is weel constructed and pretty silent only with one or two reference tracks have I been able to get port resonance but nothing as serious as the Mite-Ts did. I was hoping so since they retail 1100cnd more than Mites-Ts.

I think they are what I was hoping for, I would have been able to live with X-14 but I wanted that extra low end.

Well the Fires having no x-over part in the woofer section will reveal more detail and they are totally transparent, the magnet structur of the Torrent driver is just plain simple overkill, the driver can have inch throw in and out and it remains in complete control, huge mechanical damping but god they need serious juice. The fires have very very strong cabinets with their taper shaper from all angles except bottom and Front Baffle are at a 90 degree angle but back is angle toward the front, the side panels make the babonet narrower in the back and the top plate is angled going down towards the back.

The port is aluminum instead of plastic so all in all the cabinet is solid and does not suffer from any resonance.

I would say for 1/3 the price they play at 75% of the Fires, he more you move up the more expensive it gets to get the last few details.

The x-18 is possibly the best Bookies under $2500us I heard besides the 160 .

Those X18's are for your office setup right... so what are you buying in October, and for what setup?

Edit it's for the main room but not replacing the Signature nor the Fires just a 3rd option and yes X-18 are for the office space
