Guardians of the Galaxy is massively trending on Twitter right now. Last I looked it was #7.

Thumbs up

I have a feeling that the roll call includes Tyler Bates' score. It reminded of my faint memory of his music for Watchmen.

Also, I don't know why I can't find the right adjectives to describe the cinematography? The style looks gritty, hazy, textured. To me, it lacks any of the glossiness of the films up till now. Even Incredible Hulk, which has a very unique look compared to the prior installments. But the tone reminds me sooooo much of Iron Man 1's teaser from 2007. With a few dashes of Star Wars and The Fifth Element.

I hope we get a dialogue trailer with Captain America: The Winter Soldier or The Amazing Spider-Man 2 or X-Men: Days of Future Past.

I really don't dig this kind of cinematography. I wouldn't describe it as gritty or textured, to me it's more like cheap and unfinished. It has the look of the "behind the scene" footage. You could really tell scenes were shot on a stage with props and where the light source was. There were talks about how cheap the mid-credits scene looked after The Dark World, but it was said that the scene was done in a few hours, ok, but now it seems the whole movie will look just like that.

I'm sure we'll get plenty of trailers / footage soon. Feel like they're going to market this HARD.

We'll have to wait & see. I've seen a bit of cinematograper Ben Davis' past work, and it looks like he's using a similar style to how Stardust & Wrath of the Titans look. He did Kick-@ss which has a very clean look. Very bright, and some noticeable green screen shots.

Also, the opening clip was very Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Last thing for now, the teaser is very good albeit it pretty much consisting of 2 and a half clips + a montage. It felt/feels a tad disjointed.

The last line of the trailer will be changed to "*******s" in the finished film, right? Could be a great line but "a-holes" ruins it.

Stardust has that soft film-like texture and Wrath of the Titans is digital sharp, both look good.
Considering the Comic-Con footage was made a long time ago, I hope it doesn't indicate the look of the finished film.
I think the next trailer will better represent the current status of this movie.

It's about 80% the same. But there are distinct differences as well.

Is there footage missing from this trailer that was shown at ComicCon, or the other way around?

Excited to see Zoe Saldana and Karen Gillan throw down. What weapons does Nebula have in her hands in that one shot? Some type of laser sword?

This looks great! Loved that Groot bent over. One thing though, is that how starlord acted in the comics? I like the actor playing him, but he seems very Andy from Parks and Rec.

That trailer put a huge smile on my face. This is exactly the kind of tone/style I was hoping for. Granted, the final product could be a lot different but this looks like it's going to be my favorite MCU movie and I haven't really fallen in love with any of them outside of Iron Man 1 and to a lesser extent, The Avengers.

Now I'm really not looking forward to slogging through Thor 2 and Cap 2 because they look like the same ol' thing when Guardians looks really fresh and different.
