That said, I do appreciate the 1% who actually put in an effort and make their OWN covers. There's some fantastic work to be found within these pages.
Most of the time the official poster art is miles better than the official Blu-ray Photoshop hack jobs.

Probably has more to do with the fact that official movie stills or pictures aren't available freely over the web as photoshop is.

If I had more source material to work with (in high quality), I could do much more engaging covers for blu-rays.

And most stills and photos which are available in high enough resolution usually aren't particularly interesting for covers.

So perhaps I'll do completely custom cover.

Nice! I think the new font looks better, but I'm biased.

My only issue is, if you want to make it consistent with Criterion, the back is never part of the front artwork, meaning for the outer cover the front never overlaps to the back. It's always a singular color (unless I'm wrong).

I think a lot of the ones you made especially the blues brothers, would look amazing if you put that as the internal artwork.

One could make an exception for Into the Wild, but perhaps that probably looks better inside?

alrighty, i am going to create the set for the complete Friday the 13th series, and i'm looking at this style. the bottom of the spine, instead of being a criterion movie number, will be the disc number from the set, and the top of the spine will annotate the movie number, minus part one of course.

also, what ever part comes first on the double disc, will be the front cover pic with the back pic being from the second movie.

still need to tweak a little bit, to make sure they will all line up when stacked next to each other.

Part v and vi should use Jason from VI instead of illusion Jason lol.

Part part 1 is completely awesome, well done.
