Wow! No way did I think it would look this good. Some scenes are just stunning.

AQ: 4 (out of 5)

Film: 4 stars (out of 4)

Synopsis:

A Japanese farming village, constantly besieged and pillaged by an army of bandits, recruits seven independent samurai to defend it.

Review:

It's easy to see why theyshootpictures, the most authoritative rating system, has this ranked as the greatest film of all-time. It's simply an exceptional film that combines humor, drama, and action to a great result. Quite simply a must-own and I'm looking forward to digging into the special features.
I need to stop bs'n in watch this film. Today its happening.

Se7en

Director: David Fincher
Writer: Andrew Kevin Walker
Mains: Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt and Kevin Spacey

"7 days, 7 sins, 7 homicides"

Plot (IMDb):
Two detectives, a rookie and a veteran, hunt a serial killer who uses the seven deadly sins as his modus operandi.

My Take: Are you a fan of "The Divine Comedy", or at all familiar with the 7 deadly sins? David Fincher has blessed us with many great favorites, Fight Club, Zodiac, Benjamin Button, The Social Network and of course Se7en. Se7en is his most gritty film. Very interesting and very well told, Fincher really shows off with this little gem. The attention to detail on every murder set is unheard of. While the story is great to begin with you can really tell that the director had a big part with the whole feel of the movie. Fincher style. Yes you can smell his style from a mile away and its marevlous. Even in a sick twisted movie like Se7en Fincher still throws in his paten black comedy. Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman, and Kevin Spacey are marvelous and this movie is great and will live throught the ages.

Conclusion: David Fincher's Se7en is one of the most entertaining serial killer movies on the market. It bring suspense, drama, and dark comedy without filter. I really love his work and he's one of my personal favorite directors. If you are a fan of Fincher or a fan of the GREAT SEVEN DEADLY SINS. Then you need to watch this movie asap. This film is a Must Own bottom line.

If you go into this with the right mindset, you will have a ball.

Expect cheddar, blended with monterey jack, wrapped with formage, dipped in queso and bathed in a pool of melted brie and you will be handsomely rewarded. The over-the-top goof factor really works here, paying homage to the '70s TV show. Ridiculous lines, insane car chases, slo-mo martial arts victories against insurmountable odds, koo-koo villains, dancing, butt shaking, cleavage in abundance, hair flipping, bullet dodging, Chinese Ninja Biscuits (Blueberry ), helicopter repelling, hundreds of kicks to the face, Jumbo jet parachute drops, speed boats, tight wetsuits and all kinds of huge explosions. Toss in a wide variety of popular tunes ranging from Glam-rock to rap blended with all the right scenes. Yep, it totally works for me.

Shredded, sliced, melted, fondued, baked...it's all here in its beautiful mindless glory.

Oh, theres a little story and plot too, but thats not what this is really about.

Some things are meant to be stupid.

Watch it and smile.

I remember liking this in general (had an awesome time watching this with "Memento" all at once). Will probably get the BD, either as an after-Christmas splurge, or if it's cheap.

That's a good price for a great show. Man, i really wish i'd picked another time to finish my 5.1!! Seems like there's zero deals on receivers and surround speakers, but every BD in existence is $10 or under. I guess there's always next year.

Still one of my best blind buys ever, especially for a Disney movie, so much fun to watch. So cheesy and so funny at the same time, really wish I had gotten the full experience in theatres back in 2008.

Putting up with annoying people, high ticket and concession prices sucks, seeing a movie on a huge screen like that with those sound systems does not.

Twas a joke. I'm one of the few here that still regularly attends commercial theaters. Find a good theater (PQ/AQ), go to an EARLY matinee, and preferably do it 2-3 weeks after release, oh and don't buy the concession crap. The matinee works wonders if you're seeing a kids movie during the school year.

Ditto.

Cargo shorts or a nice winter jacket allows for bottled water and pretzels.

For ME, some flicks need to be on a ginormous screen. One I cant afford.

The Departed.

I am literally blown away buy how good this movie was. It reminded me of the feiling I had one I first watched Gangs Of New York. His signature is obvious. Scorsesse is a real genious no doubt.

Easily one of the best cop movies ever made. How reall it was made just blew me away. Very interesting and mixed up plot, acting top-notch, and while some might think its overblown I nevertheless think its one of the most realistic movies ever made.

One of my top 50 movies ever.
I just dont get why its rated avreage among critics. Any clues?

5/5

P.S. One funny thing though
[Show spoiler] I cared for all characters and didnt want any of them to die, I mean literally any of them. But all they died. Dicabrios death was especially sad

i don't know where you got this from since it won Best Picture, has 93% from RT and an 86 rating on metacritic. so it was very well received. i think some people have an issue with it being a re-imagining of Internal Affairs (? i think that's what it is called), a Japanese movie made years earlier, or something (i have no idea, didn't care to learn about it) that is a very similar plot or something. that's the only thing i think pisses some off, but mainly just fans i believe

and even though it is so well received, i liked it, but it wasn't anything special imo. 3.5/5 is what i give it.
glad you liked it. pick it up recently for $8 or did you get it awhile ago?

I got the steelbook for 13$.
As I told before, it reminded me a lot of Gnags Of New York (which is one of my all time favorites) although with a much more twisted and serious overall plot.

My bad for wrong infromance. I have only read the review on this site and it only gave it a 3.5/5.

Nah. I'm buying them. Im suppose to wait months to watch them at home. I've picked only my War films to wait to see at home. The Thin Red Line, Apocalypse Now. I've got others too because of mood effect or special effects Days of Heaven (Squid forced me) Iron Man 2 etc.

You must want everyone to go crazy. Well i went crazy good enough? On a serious note for critics to go ape sh1t about a gangster film it has to be totally original and more motivating than "The Godfather". I like The Departed but i've heard from many sources its a rip off from the foreign movie called "Internal Affairs". Maybe this is only reason that its not as big as you want it.
