London Drugs track record these past few months is to get new release titles 1-4 weeks late.

interesting development, I preordered the 3 x Clapton 24 Nights CD/DVD sets at $43 a piece. They shipped on Thursday then sometime on Friday they dropped to $35. But fortunately rather than me having to deal with customer service/returns etc, they just automatically refunded me the difference this morning. a totally un-amazon thing to do but I'm not complaining.

This happened to me a few times too. The price changed in the midst of shipping. That is Amazon's rule with pre-orders. You're entitled to the lowest price until it is actually delivered to you.

It should be in the return window still. My suggestion would be to order it again at $21.99 and start a return on the original pre-order. Once the $21.99 one arrives; send that back in the mail as the return for the original pre-order to get the higher price refunded. You may have to say something is wrong with it to get the shipping waived on the return.

The only reason to ever pre-order (and not a very good one, if you ask me) is limited editions (like steelbooks). Your standard release should never be pre-ordered and you're a fool for putting in an order when the price is >$35.

I wouldn't say that exactly. Like I preordered Evil Dead Rise for 32.99 because I knew there was a very good chance that it wouldn't be available in store. And lo and behold, I was correct, just BD and DVD. PLUS amazon immediately jacked up the price to 39.99 after release day. this seems to be becoming the norm.

good luck! I bought the The Office DVD set last year for $30 or so... and ended up watching most of it from n*****x anyways (but lets just keep that under our hats lol)

Thanks, yeah I just finished watching it on Crave but I want the set mainly for the extras, and it's always good to have a physical copy for when it inevitably leaves for a streaming service I don't have.

^ Yeah, for many of the seasons, the best stuff is in the outtakes, which are pretty long, very worthwhile.

Last week I got tickets to see Tina Fey & Amy Poehler in Las Vegas later this year. Even tickets in the nosebleeds were ridiculous prices. The prime seats, they were asking almost as much as Adele.
Earlier this year saw Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey here in Vanouver for much cheaper do a version of the Office Ladies podcast live. Not sure how much they tour that? But it was worth it if you are an Office fan.
I learned from Wikipedia that Jenna Fischer had been married to James Gunn. One day maybe she'll be ready tell stories about that. She didn't say anything about it even though she & Kinsey spoke at length about many other aspects of their private lives.
