Just get with a group that will run the easy modes a few times a week , to get you to 31, then you can be ready for the hard raids.

Hey man everyone here helps out everyone. My case is point. Im only a lvl 31 so I cant take the damage the lvl 32 people can. When we enter certain spots they tell me to stand here and don't die. That's my job!

I know exactly how you feel. I've only got level 31 Guardians but like Nick says, just sit back and assist the best you can and listen to instruction.
I've only done a couple of Raids but from what I've played the guys on here are a great bunch. No matter what level you are they're very welcoming and as everyone says, they are always willing to help.
Even if you're not confident on the mic its always worth having it to hear instruction and laugh at the banter from these guys.

Long time coming as I finally deleted my Hunter. Took me about the whole afternoon so switch things over and move weapons/materials around with the limited vault space. I pretty much used my Hunter as second vault. Never got the hang of the Hunter. Disliked playing with him for the most part. Figures if I can't solo the Abyss on normal then it is just not meant to be. I lose a Nightfall and materials from first chest in Crota but I was not doing much else with him.
