Only thing to keep in mind is that a lot of these Sony 4K packs are barebones as most special features are on regular Blu-ray discs that are not included. Nevertheless, it is still a good deal.

Sale is pretty mediocre overall, with the real discounts for some titles being a $1 or $2. Generally worse prices than Prime Day.

Unfortunately the lack of deals is not surprising. Less retailers carrying physical media which means less competition which means higher prices.

Not to mention our modern monetary policy of creating money out of thin air and devaluing our currency also leads to inflation and higher prices.

Agreed. Nothing in the current Prime sale appeals to me at the moment. Amazon will always have the standard fare on sale. But additionally, the folks at Amazon could setup an algorithm, they could offer personalized discounts (25-30% or whatever) on the types of items that customer most frequently purchases.

Ok, so I suppose that lessens the sting just a little bit, and I guess there is a digital code thrown in with the steelbook too. Although, it might only be HD like the Canadian Karate Kid 4K trilogy edition, Grrr.

Scanning through the pages, there are so many duplicates going from page to page. 11 pages of deals is really probably only 7. Didn't see anything I like too.

Except that the digital codes in the Men in Black Trilogy SteelBook have expired and can no longer be redeemed on Google Play.

Oh double darn, didn't think Sony expired their codes like WB.

Yeah, I think that Sony may have killed all of their codes with expiry dates of December 31, 2019 and earlier. These were originally Ultraviolet codes. I had previously purchased this particular MiB Trilogy so can personally confirm the codes don't work.

Amazon.ca shadow-dropped the TF ROTB 4K SB today. No shipping email as per usual. No notice it was sitting outside. Shipped in a flimsy paper mailer. I haven't received a release day shipment in ages.

That type of shipment is so irritating to me. The drivers never ring the doorbell or knock. I direct all my Amazon deliveries to a nearby Amazon Hub Locker. This is most handy for me. It is closer to my home and on my way to/from work.

Another option is to direct Amazon deliveries to a nearby Post Office for pickup.

With the current Amazon Prime sale, I noticed Paprika Blu-ray for $14.99. It's a pretty good anime film. I paid full price when I bought my copy.

I got The Exorcist 4K for 27.99 down from 39.99, which isn't a bad deal. I also have a few Arrow releases in my wishlist that have gone down a bit. I agree it's not amazing or anything but I've seen a few deals here and there.

I picked up NL Vacation 4K for $20.99, it's normally around the $40 mark. That was the only decent deal I found though.

For anyone looking at Amazon in the last minute, the Bad Boys 4K 3-pack is well priced at $23.99.

The Loki 4k has dropped to $54.48 (now lower than the blu-ray which also dropped to $55 or about $62 with tax)

WandaVision and the two Mando Seasons still sit at the higher price point.

Makes me wonder if those will drop, too. Currently have my order placed with .com which comes out to about $68 plus shipping/etc. It's a $6 difference but not risking cancelling my order yet.

Still too much for my money, $10 per episode is crazy when I picked up 4K House of the Dragon for $4 per episode and it’s way better. Maybe if it hit $30.

My Batman Mask of the Phantasm 4K arrived last night and it looks like the US release with a nice shiny slipcover...

But it was all imprinted on the front from someone writing on it through a piece of paper or something, so there is no actual ink, but words are imprinted in the cardboard... it is essentially ruined. Just wanted to post as a BOLO if anyone else orders it in the future.

Got it yesterday. Slipcover full of long scratches, dents everywhere and discs were loose inside the case lol. Needless to say I returned it and asked for a replacement.

Maybe that was the catch.
