My girlfriend and I arrived at Franklin TN tonight at 7pm. A 12hr drive from VA; we had a blast too. She is super happy for me going to my first EMOFEST and is thrilled to be here with me; that's why I love her!

We are at the Hilton Garden Inn in Franklin; very nice place too! Any emo-heads in the area we are in room 413; yeah, that's an open invite!

We are tired and are going to get some dinner then hit the shower (which is very nice and built for two---hubba - hubba!)

We will be at emotiva at 10am and for anyone going I'll be wearing khaki shorts and a purple shirt with a panama fedora; no joke either! Hope to meet some of my emo buds in person!

Dinner time, chat later!

Look closely.. it's definitely gold plated.

I was looking to get that one, but I found some locally at a surplus store that were nearly as cheap, and I needed mine right away. (Ironically they were Monster as well, but only about $3/ea!) For this one on Monoprice, you could buy 10+ of them for the same price as one of that other one on Amazon, even at the deeply discounted price it's at..

Also, these are not cables, but they are adapter/splitters and they too are gold plated:

Now I need some advices regarding bi-amp my Center channel, please help.
My Center now running with 200w from one of the channel from the BAT, I want to give it more power, can I use the Y cable above slit the signal from the Processor one to the BAT and one to UPA-1, let one channel from the BAT feeding the low and the UPA-1 for the mid and the high. Would this work ?
Any input is greatly appreciated!

The problem with this style is the spread is a fixed position and will not fit all receivers.

If you are going to Bi-amp your center u want to use the same amp or two of the same amps. It is a bad idea to use the Bat & Emo.

I would use 2 channels off the XPA-5 or XPA-3 then mixing them with the UPA-1. You can always get another UPA-1

If I get the XPA-5, I would use 2 channels from it for the mid and the high bi-amp for the two Fronts, with the XPA-2 for the low. That will leave me 3 channels, 2 for the rears and one for the Center, so can I use that channel and UPA-1 for bi-amp the Center? Thx

Mike ~ first thing is it would be bad to use the XPA-5 & the XPA-2 to Bi-amp your 802D's because they have 2 different watts ratings. This is from Big Daddy's Sticky thread here ~ ~ https://forum.blu-ray.com/receivers/...mplifiers.html

Connecting Two Mono Amplifiers to the Same Speaker.

When two amplifiers are connected in parallel, the effect on impedance will be the opposite of parallel speakers. If you connect two speakers in parallel, the impedance will drop. With parallel amplifiers, the impedance will rise. For example, if two identical amplifiers, each rated for 4 ohms, are connected to a 4 ohm speaker, each amplifier will see an equivalent of 8 ohm and each amplifier will supply half the current that it provided before. With this type of setup, the two amplifiers must be identical because they see each other as loads. If the amplifiers are different, the stronger one will try to drive the other one and you run into all sorts of problem. Furthermore, the gains for the two amplifiers must be exactly the same
