anybody else notice some prices creeping up?

I want to purchase the Star Trek 4k box set and it has gone from $134,99 to $164.75.

I think they will put it back down to $134.99 for the Black Friday and claim it is on sale.

Yeah, even small stuff like 5+ years old studio movies that would always be around 8-10$ (and would occasionaly drop to 5$), they’re all like 20$+ now.

And if you look at price histories via Keepa or another, you can see prices go up since about 2020.

I would say zero, or close to it. $9.99 is the US sale price.

Amazon sent Blue Beetle 4k (released yesterday) without a slip.

Is this normal or did a worker swipe it?

I'm supposed to pick up mine from my Amazon Hub Locker today. I'll check and confirm whether I received a slipcover.

Edit: I received a slipcover. FYI: The 4K UHD is a single disc only - no Blu-ray. I missed that before. I'll hang onto it anyway. I really need to upgrade someday. I can handle the cost of a new player and and receiver. My expensive component is a projector that I need to upgrade.

The Shout Shaw Brothers sets are dropping in price.

Vol. 1 is now $153.99
and
Vol. 2 is now $156.99

seems the price drops about two months or so after the release date which would put Vol 3. dropping after Christmas'ish if this keeps up.

I cancelled my order with UV and will gamble it. I mean, UV doesn't even have the set yet and, worse case, the $179.99 (+$15 box set fee) is still the same for Vol. 1 and 2. I don't think they'll change it for 3 and I'm not in a rush to snag this.

Welcome to the 100th anniversary of Warner Bros.
I had the same thing with Barbie, just a 4K disc. I can already see where the next 100 years of shrinkflation are headed…

Yes, I bought the same Barbie 4K. The 4K Disney+ series Loki, WandaVision, and Mandalorian 1 & 2 are the same. Arrow is another label that does this with most releases.

Was the same thing with Ferris Bueller 4K from Paramount. At least that has the bonus features on the disc like Arrow 4Ks. Some Kino Lorber 4K releases have the approach of a 4K disc and a regular Blu-ray features only disc.

I like Sony's prices for their 4K compilations but they don't often come with Blu-ray discs and therefore lack most bonus features.

Just got my replacement which also doesn't include a slipcover. What a sad day it'll be if we solely have to depend on Amazon as a retailer.

Black Friday deals should be up any day now if they follow what they have done the last few years. I don’t expect much to be honest.

4 UHDs for $42 is not bad, however: 'Usually ships within 2 to 5 weeks.'

Has anyone received the Scrooged 4K? I had pre-ordered but now have an estimated delivery of next week. Bonus is that the price dropped to 22.96.

I already have the Twilight Time release of The Train. I enjoyed it but probably not enough to double dip for the 4K….but damn that’s a good price.

Does anyone know from previous experience what typically counts for Amazon's Home Entertainment category on airmilesshops? Blu-rays? TVs? Video games? It would help if they had an actual department called Home Entertainment you could shop under to be sure.
