I just recently found one on eBay for $30 + $5 shipping + tax, came to just under $40 all in. I already have the original 4K release, but I've never seen the extended editions so that's mainly why I wanted this set. Not sure if upgrading the sequel to the Collector's Edt. would be worth it.

haha definately not for me, I haven't even watched the 4k I do have (from the Disney movie club fire sale lol) not to mention I got the special BD edition years ago so I'm good for Avatar extended cuts

I think I am going to wait a bit longer and see if it drops even more. I too have both versions on the 4K release before the holidays, wish we new about this collector edition "money grab" back then. Could try selling the 4K regular ones @ a Beat Goes On, after the fact. curious what they would give for the 4K discs.

I rarely buy from Amazon, so I’m sure this is a dumb question. Why isn’t Amazon selling Godzilla 2014 4K right now (aside from 3rd party)? Is it likely lack of stock? Surely it must be reasonably popular, but not so popular that it would have blown off the shelves in recent weeks/months. In your experience, how long would it take Amazon to restock a movie like that?

You can add Keepa as a Chrome extension, it will show you a price history as well as when was the last time amazon had stock for an item.

In this case, they haven't had any to sell since November, which is the longest period since its release they didn't have stock.

I can't confirm this but wouldn't Warner have sent some stock if they had any?

I'm not saying it's out of print, but one thing I noticed is how movies older than a couple years are harder to find in 4K. It seems they don't print them as much as they did with blu-rays back in the day.

That was my worry, that it’s potentially out of print, or at least like you are suggesting not having many copies made.

Makes me want to make sure I scoop whatever movies I want now before they indeed are out of print.

You can get it for 33$ shipping included on wowhd (and if you subscribe for the first time you get a 10 percent coupon so it would come back to 29 something, which is better than you'd get on amazon even if they did have it.

Also, for some reason this movie always had stock problems on amazon canada. I remember when it first came out amazon never received it. I'm not even sure if they ever did, to be honest.
