inFAMOUS – Greatest Hits / Platinum – pick it up cheap!

Shockwave bounces off the wall, as do grenades. Precision shots can't shoot through, even though it looks like the chain link fence should allow it.

Overload Burst animated like it hurt the guy, but after shooting him with it one hundred times or so I decided it wasn't going to actually kill him.

Found a couple references to this glitch on other web sites, so it looks like I'm not the only one. It's just irritating.

i didn't have that problem
guess i was lucky

the one glitch i did have was i was running down the street towards a group of enemies and i just fell through the street....

i had to kill myself to fix it

I think it's a variant of the same glitch, I'm sure what happened is the guy walked through the wall when he didn't collide properly.

Not the same glitch but, I've fallen thru the world now twice and got stuck in a wall but managed to jump my way out. Seems to have something to do with "Drain." It has issues other than these like sometimes you just freeze up for 15-20 seconds and don't actually accomplish the "Drain". The strange part is that this has only occurred on my second play thru on Hard as Evil. No problems the first run thru though I didn't use "Drain" at all.

BTW: are those gigawatt blades still available in the game or is it just an extra you got for pre-ordering.

Wonder if that'll show up as DLC or something.

I had the same problem on the warren it was up near the top. I have a habit of using grenades and sticking them. With the upgraded nades they auto arc restrain which keeps the bad guys alive. I ended up having to kick them in the head until they die. When I did that it a secret package mission showed up over one of the baddies. It took several times before I got it to show up. Hope this helps.

I went back in the unprotected location without using my grenade and found my last package mission!

it says moving train in the description... in warren there is a med drop mission that the building with a lot of ennemies is just close to the train track, so that where I did it, just went on the train, bombed the building... died... did it back again.

ok thanks i remember that im on my second play through trying for the plat.. i have to still figure out that grenade stunt. i wish there was a way to know for sure how to get them to throw one.

in warren they all have grenade so you just need to take cover and they will start firing grenade at you. Just throw them back to them. Its not easy...

I get really paranoid sometimes and it has happened again lol, but i'm pretty sure i'm fine:
I started a new game and as soon as i could i went into the options menu and changed it to Hard. I was still in the menu and pressed X to confirm, but it instead changed the difficulty once again. So i put it back on Hard and resumed play. Since i never left the options menu when i changed my difficulty back and forth, i should be still elegible for the Hard finish trophy right? haha

Once you get back to the city after crossing under the bridge after you meet with Moya you'll automatically be upgraded to hard if you do well enough in the opening and it counts for the trophy when you finish the game (I did it like that).

I really enjoyed all the characters in their own way, I want a film!

I kinda don't like though, how it leaves us wondering about 2 characters in particular, including Cole himself.

To get the Casey Jones trophy the easy way:

[Show spoiler]I don't remember which island it's on, but one of the train activation missions has a section where you come in and you see three enemies on a rooftop with an exploding barrel near them. There is a pile of cars on the tracks, but the train is moving up until that point. When you see this section, get killed on purpose.

Then restart from the last checkpoint, and go into Precision to pick off those guys on the roof. Then deliberately die again.

Repeat over and over until you rack up enough kills for the trophy.

I don't post here very often, but I thought I'd announce that I got my platinum for InFamous last night.

I had a heckuva time with the final fight on Hard, it took about 90 mins. Seemed to ramp the difficulty up quite a bit just for that battle, and the randomness of his attacks were a little frustrating. Once I got in the groove of the patterns, though, I still had to get a little lucky at the end. That battle was closest I've ever come to splinterizing a controller. Anyway, back to lurking...

The first time i fought him on Medium the battle took me by complete surprise to how fast paced it was. Your grueling description for Hard makes me hope that doesn't happen to me lol.

Wow, congrats!! I barely beat the final battle on normal and have no hopes of ever getting a platinum trophy.

It's my third Platinum, probably the most challenging, but not the most time consuming (Burnout). I'm sure it's considered one of the easier ones out there, but considering I don't play FPS games (save for BioShock), my choices are a little more limited than some. That, and I don't have a ton of games, I try to get the most value out of the ones I have.

My other Plats are for Burnout and Sega Genesis Collection.
