Another idea I have for Dexter:

[Show spoiler]Dexter is killed in the final episode of the final season, and Deb kills his killer, thus becoming the new Morgan family serial killer.

[Show spoiler]The way it's looking now is Deb and Hannah knocking heads and one of them killing the other. If Hannah kills Deb, Hannah will be on Dexters table, but not the other way around.

I'm annoyed at the Dexter/Deb in love angle. Even though they aren't related it's just wrong as they grew up together as siblings.

What if LaGuerta, Quinn, Masuka and Batista all find out Dexter is a serial killer... but instead of freaking out they join him and next season is about Team Dexter where they're all serial killers?

That seems to be the popular/prevailing theory among forums. As fun as it would be to see that happen, if it does come to fruition it would be sad to see an audience map the entire season. That's not the strongest writing.

lol, I remember thinking that there was NO WAY they would go that way (even though I saw it coming since the first couple eps) ... basically NO WAY the writers would be that stupid and telegraph the ending that far in advance. but low and behold

My theory is either: Dexter and Hannah

[Show spoiler]will find companionship and end up together at the end of the series

(but this is unlikely), or Dexter and Hannah

[Show spoiler]will end up together, but something will come out between now and the end of the series (next season) that exposes Dexter and/or Hannah, then Dexter

. In the second theory, Dexter and Hannah

[Show spoiler]would die (though Hannah might end up in prison) and Deb would go on with her life

Either way, it's pretty obvious that

[Show spoiler]Dexter needs to die

at the end of the series. The writers have already shown us,

[Show spoiler]time and again, that he cannot stop himself from killing, even with a family and children to care for

, so the only alternative is

[Show spoiler]to end the series with Dexter surviving, and obviously he would go on and kill others

I'll add my prediction for the end of the season even though it's probably WAY off.

[Show spoiler]LaGuerta's personal investigation will lead to her finding out about Dexter. But instead of reporting to the team to bring him in, she decides to tell Deb. Deb feeling the need to protect him will try to get LaGuerta to call everything off but ends up reluctantly killing her to keep his secret. I guess my justification in this theory is that LaGuerta has had very little to do in the last 2-3 seasons, so she feels like excess weight to the show. Also, why is she just now personally re-opening the case of the Bay Harbor Butcher and telling only Deb about her theories? Finally, Deb seems to be getting too okay with Dexter's dark passenger, especially after she "ordered the hit" on Hannah in the last episode. Where Hannah fits in this, I don't quite know, but I could also see Dexter telling Hannah that Deb wants her dead and she might strike first.

Definitely going to be an interesting ride to the end; this is easily the best season since Trinity in Season 4.

Indeed. That scene in the bar was very well done as well.

There were a lot of great scenes tonight, loved the ending too with Dexter's voice over with the different scenes with all the characters.

Quite frankly surprised that any real spoilers got out considering the cast only gets parts of the script a few days prior to filming.
