I just thinking how rare to have this happen:

Yesterday, I got a DVD that the case was badly damaged so Amazon sent a replacement and today, the hub that holds the disc was broken and there was a strach on the disc and it would not get to the main menu so the disc is defective so Amazon is sending another replacement, hopefully 3rd time the charm!

I'm wondering why certain forums have activation overkill for a member account.

For example I was looking for another forum to be able to talk about dvd's as this ite is essentially just for blu's and came acorss AVManiacs. Are they some secret closed off society or something? First enter your name but it must be a real sounding name, then enter what's in the captcha, then enter the first letter in the word above followed by agreeing to terms and submitting. You would think that's sufficient but then you need to wait for an email to click on the link to finish registration. Okay I guess. Certain places do that. But that's not enough. Then after you click the link you get redirected and it says please await activation from a moderator. Several days later and no activation. I can't send a message because there's no contact form in the forum section. I can't pm a member to help me out because I don't have sufficient permissions.

What the hell? There's no need to be anal about registration. No wonder their population is so freaking small.

umm...why DIDN'T he get banned months ago seems to be the better question..

back on topic...

I'm trying to plan a weekend trip to Lake Tahoe with the wife and some friends..I can't seem to concentrate on work right now..

Bleh what a waste of a glucometer blood test strip, the first one I used at 4:30 read 255, then I used another one and it read 81. Gotta love it when I dig a faulty strip out of the plastic jar they came in.
