Regarding eBay links etc, it is against forum rules to promote your own auctions on eBay etc. Please don't post these either. Posting links discussing deals/crazy prices you've found are fine but you must not be promoting a sale for you/someone else.

Could somebody possibly provide a list of the rarest to least rarest for these slipcases? Would be well appreciated. Also if someone could provide a rough price each of these would be worth. Thanks heaps.

I'll give it a go. From my own experience, I would say it goes something like this: (depending on item condition and seller integrity)

• Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince $150-200
• Dark Knight $150-200 (But have seen it goe as high as 300)
• Saving Private Ryan $100-150 (Have seen it go for close to $200 for a mint/sealed copy)
• Terminator 2 $100-150
• Inglourious Basterds $60-100
• Gladiator $60-100
• Smokin' Aces $40-80
• Fast and Furious 1-4 $50-80
• Fast & Furious 4 $20-30 (Rare-ish, but not particularly desirable)
• Apocalypse Now $20-40*
• Scarface $20-40*
• Paul $20-40*
• Godfather I-III $20 each*
  

* You should not have to pay more than this, these are still in some stores if you apply yourself!

First one I've seen. It's made more like the first wave, not the cheap crappy later bunch.

Anybody know of the availability of other PS3 Steelcases?

Good list but Harry Potter should be at the top. That is the rarest of them all. Since it was exclusive to Big W only, less copies were made and good luck getting a copy for under $200. It took me 3 years if searching to get it and it only took me a few months for rest

Prices do fluctuate quite regularly, depending on factors like buyer, seller, condition,location etc. I find the price can be anywhere from $50 (that's how much I and a few others bought it for) to around $300 (mint) and one case it was almost $500 for mint and sealed. I would suggest in the region of $100 to $250 depending on condition. Remember only collectors will buy this so very scratch and micro dent must be described or shown because if there's even one scratch you forget to mention, they could get escalate to Paypal and get a refund without returning the item. (Only if they are a**holes though )

I thought these were all not sealed? Does anyone actually own a mint one?

When I got mine from Big W on release day, all the ones available were open (not sealed), and all had scratches on them to some degree.

Yes. I do. I believe the unsealed ones were mostly sold in NZ, Sealed ones more often than not were sold in Oz.

Edit: Also unsure as to why my ebay link to an expired auction was removed. Perhaps one of the mods could point me to that particular clause in the forum rules.

I can say its extremely hard to find a sealed copy of the rarer ones but every single metal case was sealed when sold in stores.
It is sad for the average collector to spend so much but he could be loaded with cash.

Weird, I'm actually from Oz, and got mine here, in Melbourne. Wish I got a sealed/mint one

Well, the few copies that were left from the store I bought mine from were unsealed, so I guess it wasn't all of them. Strange that they wouldn't seal all of them.

dark knight fetched 65 and basterds fetched 45.
lowest ive seen them go for. anyone here snag them?
