While the deleting games with zero trophies is cool (a feature that is on the 360), still not adding external HDD support (so when people are upgrading their PS4 HDD, they can back up their entire data from the old HDD), and no BT headset support still is a fail IMO.

Why do people want to get rid of the trophy information? I kind of like being able to compare and tell what games people have or have tried. Is it just to shorten the list?

For me its just games that have 0%. Those are games that I either downloaded a demo for and they gave me trophy information which is stupid IMO or a game that a friend brought over that I'll never play again.

I just don't like those cluttering up my list.

I’ll copy and paste my reasoning (from previous page):

When I first got my PS3 (and before I really figured out you could have different users), my roommate/friend shared my PS3, and there were games we both played. However, originally he played under my user name and activated trophies that I would have preferred to do myself.

Obviously, it didn’t take too long to figure out I could make a different user, but it would have been nice to be able to delete those trophies he earned so I could do them on my own.

How about you wait until the full feature set is announced before jumping the gun

There are still more to be revealed apparently, and hdd back up was part of the same beta that leaked the rest of these features so it might still be coming.

Ah, okay. So, they're actually allowing the trophies to be deleted so you can re-earn them? Even though I know it says delete, I figured they were just providing a way to hide them but as you can tell, I didn't really have a handle on why people wanted this feature. So, I was thinking that they meant they were just going to add a filter that lets you hide the ones below a certain percentage, for example.

If they're actually allowing them to be deleted, I guess that could also help with the speed of the trophy sync although that isn't nearly the issue it was with the PS3.

I think most people want to delete them, because of the impact on their completion percentage. There are a few who are 100% junkies, even.

It would just as useful to be able to turn trophies off completely. You could try any game you wanted for as long as you wanted, then decide to turn trophies on.

The ability to hide trophies was actually already given to us some time last year. But like detective said, I just don't like the clutter of seeing 1-3% trophies for games I just wanted to try and never want to play again

Does the privacy option hide it from you though or just everyone else? I guess I can just try it to see.

Well, since they only let you delete 0% trophies, I guess you really haven’t “earned” any yet. I am just saying I wish they did allow that, where I ‘have’ (or my friend, actually) earned trophies, and I would like to delete, or reset, the trophy data for those games.

I haven't tried it on the PS4 (the feature should be accessible on the Vita, PS3, and PS4, but you never know with sony ) it was either the Vita or PS3 I did it on.

But yeah it basically just hides it from everybody else, including the gamer/trophy cards, but you will still see it on your own console.
That's the other thing, my gamer card says Level 17 xx%, but on my console its a bit higher because it still counts the ones you've hidden.

Are you guys embarrassed to have 0%-5% trophy completion showing on your profile?

Suspend/Resume

I agree with those who complain there are no options for seeing your friend pop up with a notification when they sign in.

Not at all. I'd be more embarrassed to have 100% in, say, Hannah Montana (now referred to as Bangerz).

But on your profile, if you care about such things, and 1/3 of the games you tried just to try and never finished, it will knock your 100% down to 66%, and your friends will not be impressed.

If you're comparing your trophies with another player you might meet in a game, not only to compare sizes, so to speak, but to see what kind of games they play and how they play them, you have to page through sometimes 200 titles, many of which are 0-10% meaning they probably did not really play them. It's more housekeeping than anything else.

And as stated below, you really want your list of trophy games to reflect your taste in games.

this was actually my 1st thought
But I think that is what the "hide feature" was really for hahaha. They wouldn't delete it, it's still a shiny plat ..they just don't want others to see it :myprecious:

Aye.

I do play games just to try them. You never know when you'll hit a gem & enjoy the game for what it is. If people are not impressed with my game completion i have no issue. I don't have the time to finish 200+ PS4 games let alone hunt all trophies for all of them.

No because they're meaningless anyway.

Speaking of trophy features, Sony needs to allow us to view that stuff offline. It makes no sense that your PS4 must connect to the PS4 in order to view that stuff

To go hand in hand with your question, I've never understood why a lot of PS3 games had to install trophies.

Was just about to post this. I can't believe I still can't view trophies offline.
