I presume there will be a reissue in the UK?

Surely theres no way a film of this stature will stay oop in 4K a few years after release?

Ok this is getting really bizarre now...I've just noticed that the Italian Eagle Pictures release of Total Recall also exhibits this strange diagonal pink (and other-colored) streak (it even looks like it's at the same angle as the Reservoir Dogs one) that isn't present in the UK release:

99.99% of people won't notice. Because it's something that you have to megazoom for.. and possibly appears for minimal frames.

And possibly appears for many frames, in multiple scenes, we have no idea. Again I only just happened to spot this randomly without looking for it. And I didn't have to zoom at all to see it, it's even more visible than the Reservoir Dogs artifact. It seems to be a sign of shoddy encoding, so it might be best to avoid Eagle's encodes altogether to be safe, but as I said before, my question is how can an artifact like that possibly occur during encoding, not only for one film but across multiple films, showing very similar strange artifacts? It's baffling.

Is this version a steelbook?
or was it just digital artwork made to “appear” to be a steelbook?

I can’t find the Red Cover Art version listed as an actual steelbook in the Bluray.com data base,
The only listed U.S. steelbook appears to be the bloody/missing ear version.

https://www.hdmoviesource.com/Reserv...HD-p/14468.htm

Same image is used on amazon.com and amazon.ca
But the price range is all over the place, as low as $16 and a high of $73.

I’ve already placed my order (along with the Pulp Fiction Steelbook)
….I guess I’ll find out when it arrives

[edit] it arrived and it’s just a slip cover,

but on the bright side (pun intended) it’s actually Candy Red.
…and probably one of the prettiest slips I’ve seen, a keeper! (I usually toss my slip covers lol)

It's visible at 100% too

Bad chroma compression I believe.

(This ain't Reservoir Dogs, before anybody freaks out)

LG has a bit of citerion's style low-pass filtering (same authoring house if memory serves?). tough choice between the other two but in the end i prefer SC (with DV rebuilt).
