I don't think I've ever seen a different poster or piece of artwork used to advertise that film.

If you want something different, here's a piece of painted art from an Argentinian comic magazine: http://futurofinale2088.blogspot.com...ome-strip.html

The large image isn't the in greatest quality, though.

This is an unpopular opinion I definitely share.

Doesn't make sense to use the Special Edition artworks for the "un-special" editions. One would think the client would want to use the original poster art.

The irony wasn't lost on me, but the client wants what the client wants. Besides, every other Despecialized cover uses the same old theatrical posters, so a little variety is all for the good.

For those who came in late, this was made to emulate the 80s home video releases of MGM. I used to love this design though it may seem quaint by today's standards.
Shout Factory is releasing TREASURE OF THE FOUR CROWNS on DVD (no 3-D or Bluray) but I will finally be able to fill the empty case sitting on my shelf with an official release instead of the VHS Rip thats in there now.

There aren't many.

This one, though not directly from the time does work as well.

Why type of paper stock do you use for your slipcovers ? I've been trying different types but no luck

I think I've already asked this before, but do any of you actually paint? Have any of you hand made a cover? I'm not sure if that's how to say it, and I'm by no means trying to be disrespectful.

Are you asking if any of them actually use their original images? I don't think so. They use other artists images and arrange/modify to make covers they want (usually better than the retail).

Has anyone done a custom for August: Osage County? That one really needs a custom cover art.

Also... Promised Land?

(Maybe I will have to do these ones...)

Depending on how the discs are stacked (they could be annoyingly stacked on top of each other?) I'll have a spare 4 disc case (same size as a single disc movie case) that has seperate holders/trays

One disc goes on the inside of each side of the case, and then there is a "flap" in the middle that holds two more discs (one on each side). I'll double check it later to be sure. I put the discs in my custom case shortly after getting the set, so I haven't really looked on the inside of it since then.
FYI, I double checked my season 3 case, and it does have 4 separaye disc hubs. Hopoefully yours will be the same when you get it.

I made this CARRIE slipcover, 2 versions, 1 for each logo. I couldn't pick just one.

While I was at it, I decided to make one for the sequel, wich I love as well, even though it's not out on Blu-Ray yet (assuming it will be, one day)

That's what I meant, I figure in a thread like this there would be a couple of artists. Still some amazing covers in here, though.

I do realize that I am sounding like a broken record, but it has to be said. Awesome work.

On a personal note I didn't like the SE posters by Struzan. Just a collage of previous publicity stills.
I feel like it kind of makes a link between the SEs and their opposite rather than just being another GOUT version.

That said, I love Struzan, but don't like some of the choices on his SE covers. ESB Leia on the ANH poster, for example.

Also,
Luke's blue lightsaber and ESB blaster/holster on the Jedi poster

No doubt Struzan is a master and has many iconic posters - my favorite probably being Temple of Doom
