Funny you mention Lord Summerisle, as I very nearly chose that one instead as I do love The Wicker Man as well. However, Scaramanga is a good villain too so in the end I opted for that one.

Nothing wrong with Dracula at all Tob - without doubt his most famous role. One of my favourite black & white films of his is City Of The Dead, made in around 1960.

Indeed he was. Other than his TV work, the only major films I've seen him in (other than Wicker Man) is Who Dares Wins, and Christmas Carol. I'm sure he's done more.

He brought huge weight to every role. I loved him in Common As Muck as well.
