I am at 3,500 total. 2,300 Blu-ray and 1,200 DVDs. Slowly upgrading my DVDs to BLuray so the overall number won't change much as I sell/donate my DVDs.. Probably will grow to 4,000 by next year with purchases of new titles to the collection.

And I don't regret 1 purchase

I've been doing the same a lot lately. My progression to 3000 blurays has been quite slow as a result. Having said that I have a lot of dvd titles that I'm fine keeping on dvd. I don't feel the urge to upgrade every movie. The odd movie and TV show I'm fine with having on dvd

I cannot believe I'm about to cross 1500 blurays. It's a small collection compared to many on here, but for me I'm kinda shocked. I only started collecting bluray in 2016 with Batman v Superman, because that was the only way to get the Ultimate Edition.

600 bluray are upgraded from DVDs, which I've given away or sold to the local record shop. In that time I've gone from wanting nothing to do with DVD any longer to re-energizing my DVD collection with films not on HD yet. Now I have no problem with DVD again as I want my collection to be mostly filled with films I remember fondly, or films that I think I will want to watch more than once, and films I may have missed that I want to collect today. It's been a fun trip.

Next step, 2K!

Crossed the 1000 milestone a few months ago, and now i'm just obsessed with upgrading my titles from bluray to 4K after getting that 75'' TV.

Getting further away from 2,000.

Just shed 29 doubles because of upgrades.

Not sure how much it grow from here since I am mainly replacing standard blurays with 4k and giving away the old blurays to family members as they are replaced. 7/18/21
Another 100 added to the collection. Hit 1100 today.

Just crossed the 3,000 threshold myself with the latest Target sale. When I started collecting movies back in ~1999/2000 I never thought I'd get to 1,000 movies, let alone 3,000 Blu-rays...

I'm currently at 1,947 titles (on disc). 1237 Blu Ray/710 DVD. I will almost certainly hit 2k this year at some point. I keep pruning/curating though, getting rid of doubles/upgrading (I only keep my preferred edition, very few multiples of the same title). So the count goes up and down at times, while mostly on a steady climb. The story of my collection since I started back in the early 90's with VHS.

Never thought I’d hit over 1500 BDs but here we are lol. I’ve tried to cut back, buying only genres that interest me like horror & Asian films, buying a lot less major Hollywood/mainstream movies, more older ones & mostly boutique labels. I thought that would help me keep my collection at around 1000 or so, I was wrong lol.

And so with my Vinegar Syndrome order now in, after over a decade of collecting, I have reached the 1000 mark. Wowzers.

Nice one. At times I wish I was still below 1000 because it was easier to keep track of everything and I didn't buy things twice because I forgot I already owned it.
