Watched Aquaman in 3D today for the first time.

Some great 3D sequences in it, too bad no Imax ratio shifting. This is also one of those movies that made me wish we could enjoy 3D and 4K HDR/WCG at the same time. Amazing picture quality plus the immersion of 3D, that would have been perfect!

Hi Paul,

My pleasure. I am assuming this will be the stereoscopic transfer, not a German up conversion.

I scan the overseas sites hoping to come up with these hidden ones.

Had this for a long time and watched it last night. Pretty good 3D with lots of pop-outs.

Well this was a surprise. The last time I watched this was in 2D as a Netflix rental and I had a hard time sitting through it and the cheesy visuals. Funny enough in 3D the visuals are quite good and convincing. I also remember people panning the 3D and I don't know what they were seeing. The shots are done very well and the depth looked spot on to me. No weird anomalies popping up all over the place to become distracting either.

No Thor here

Yeah the 3D is really good in this, for an early conversion and Marvel's second 3D release. It holds up well today in terms of delivering a very satisfying 3D experience.

Just watched Jaws 3 3D.

On its own, not comparing it to the first two entries, the scenario was actually quite clever and different.

The 3D was very strong but sometimes too strong with extreme pop outs causing double vision.

Overall it was a decent picture but picture quality was not consistent. Some scenes were very grainy, while others appeared soft.

Still a nice addition to the collection despite these setbacks.

Just ordered The Little Mermaid.

Am also watching the remake of Poltergeist, which I had seen on cable 3D. It wasn't a bad remake?

But the 3D is gorgeous.

Aquaman was my last 3D viewing. Amazing 3D and probably my favorite DC movie now. The 3D and special effects overall reminded me of Thor: Ragnarok.

Before that I watched Moana for the second time. 3D was great with excellent brightness and colors. Before watching it for the first time I had been shunning most animations, but now have a renewed interest to go back and watch any good ones in 3D. Have Frozen, Incredibles 2 and more on deck.

But next is Gravity 3D for the second time. SO hasn't watched it yet, and I just muxed the atmos track in. Going to be nice!

This arrived today from Germany—unfortunately all the yellow comic book captions and white thought bubbles are in German. Suggest importing the Australian release instead. This is region free—not sure about that one.

Thor: Ragnarok
This is just a fun movie with a strong 3-D conversion.
The music, costumes, colors, production design and humor really reminded
me of the 1980 Flash Gordon movie. Lots of fun and excellent 3-D.

Watched The Mad Magician last night. This movie blew me away! Without a doubt the best 3D quality from the 3D Golden Age category in B&W. Simply amazing!

Is the Mermaid English friendly? I don't see any mention of English audio or subtitles on the Blu-ray.com listing.
