Still working to finalize it. Not pictured is the Monitor Audio Silver FX 6G on walls in di-pole setting. I have some diffusion/acoustic/decorative panels I’ll be putting up soon. I’ll share more photos as I complete the room.

Well....you can make it 3 guys....I divorced in 2021 and moved out. Got a new job in 2022. Moved into my new home in 2023, and I too am a single dad (my son lives with me, daughter lives with my ex). And.....getting remarried in October (wife #3) to the woman of my dreams and I mean it!. Then I will be moving (again) into her place (she owns her home) once my son finishes high school.

Got some new gear 2 years ago myself (TV, AVR, speakers).

I’ll have to try it from a computer. I kept my 2-ch gear during the divorce but when my GF and I bought this new house it had a loft so I’ve been building a nice, but budgeted HT.

Well look at us 3! 😆

My Ex decided to sleep around and got the boot, then moved to Rockford, IL with the dude.
My kids and I stayed in the house for a while. I bought her out; and I graduated 2 of my kids over the 4 years from HS. My oldest daughter, now 21, has moved out. My middle daughter lives with myself and my GF and is headed to Cal State for college this fall. My son is now a Sophomore in high school, was in 5th grade when everything went down.

My GF and I both sold our homes to buy the one we moved into a couple months ago. It’s nice and big. She brings a Freshman HS boy and a 11 y.o. daughter with her.

Anyways, I’ll see what I can do to get some photos of this work in progress up for viewing.

Dude, life has a way of throwing you curve balls.

Sad to hear about the ex, but it sounds like it wasn't meant to be.

Your kids are like mine in age pretty much. My daughter lives with my ex and goes to college in Boston. My son is getting ready for his junior year in HS, and plays ice hockey as well (expensive sport).

New wife to be is the most incredible woman. This will be the 3rd marriage for both of us, but she never had kids due to a car accident in her twenties and her body went thru A LOT to recover from the accident. She needs a cane to walk ever since with the spinal damage, but she can do everything else and I could not be happier.

You got yourself a big blended family....but happy that you found happiness. At this point in our lives, that is all that matters IMO.

Looks comfy and you did a great job with the decor. I like the way the panels blend in with the rest of the room. Very well done!

Thanks Fors, yea we (GF & I) have been very precise on how we want things to looks. Great place to sit and watch anything. This room is even one shade darker than the rest of the house. I wanted something both elegant and casual at the same time.

Nice to see you back in the HT side of the house!!!! I'm calling it done as far as amps, DACs, and my front array of speakers go. I have Legacy Whispers for L/R, a Marquis Center, and a pair of Harmony HD's for front heights.

You're putting together a fine HT. You really need to see what Dangeruss is doing in two channels - my brother has been on the come-up for a while; he's in that rare air now.

Thank you! I have been using just 2-ch setups until my GF and I bought this home. What page does Russ belong to? What’s his name? I’m still using the same setup in 2-ch and don’t see any changes anytime soon. NaimSuperNait3, Dynaudio Contour 20s, Rega P2, Bluesound Node2 basic but very effective.
