My job isn't that bad, but we've been so understaffed and overworked this year that its been physically & at times mentally exhausting. I'm coming up on my 7th day straight of 12+ hour shifts, which makes it a bit worse.

I'm a Batman nerd & the Joker is my all time favorite villain. You can never duplicate Heath Ledger, so he needs a new look if he's on screen again -- which I think Leto gives. I'm not sitting here saying this is a shoe-in to be awesome, because DC has a bad track record with these things, but with Leto producing too, I think it will meet the needs.
I want Mark Hamill to do a live-action Joker using the same Joker voice he does for the animated series.

You're good people, bro...much obliged.

It sucked again, but it is what it is. No tears for me though, I've had it good for a LONG, LONG time. Gotta pay the piper for as long as this lasts.

That sucks. My job is okay but I'm always just so damn tired from 8am-4pm. It's to the point where I absolutely have to have 1-2 sugar free energy drinks to get through the day. I'm thinking about getting caffeine pills instead. I could switch back to swing shift where I'd be less tired but I like having evenings off.

As for the 12+ hour shifts though.. yikes. Do you at least get time and a half for anything over 40 hours a week? I'd kill to have 10 hour shifts for 4 days, then 3 days off.

I live on coffee mostly during the week for my caffeine, once in awhile I'll have a sugar-free energy drink but I never really acquired the taste of them.

Yep, time and half for anything over 40 hours. And that's actually my schedule, four 10-hour shifts (Mon-Thurs) with every Friday-Sunday off, unless I want to work over time (voluntary most of the year, only mandatory around the holidays). I used to be able to work Saturday-Thursday every week but lately I've been so discouraged by the waste of space management at my workplace to even bother. Plus I'd rather spend time with my family then work OT.

Sugar free energy drinks are TERRIBLE. But the one that's okay is Rockstar Punched Fruit Punch sugar free. They sell caffeinated water now (a brand called Water Joe) but the caffeine amount is so low that you'd have to drink 4 bottles just to get the same amount of an energy drink.

i'm wondering how in the hell, with a spread of over 100,000, they call for a runoff between the 2 candidates for governor in this state.

is that not enough of a separation to determine one of them the winner? jeez.

Our 19 year old that has an awful attendance record no called and no showed again today. She's been here 6 weeks and this is the 10th time I know of her not even calling when she takes off. When I mention to management it affects shop morale they say "we don't expect much from her and she's not paid a lot" and "it doesn't affect you, why do you care?"

So you're admitting to different rules for different people? Isn't that discrimination?

It's favoritism. I have a co-worker like that as well. She got mad because we were talking about how lazy she is. Said it doesn't have anything to do with us. Yes it does, when somebody doesn't do their job, everyone else has to pick up the slack. Oh well, used to blatant laziness in medical records by now, just another reason to keep doing well in school until I can get a real job. Parting note for this post, I hate half-assed or sorta-assed help. Either really help or don't, that other crap just makes it look like you're working when other people are actually working. The fact that supervisors can't tell the difference tells me how useless they are.

Supervisors just care about the work getting done, it's less important WHO actually did it. Unless someone tells the supervisor "hey, this was all me/us/not them," they won't know and even if someone does tell em, they might not care. (BTW what happens during performance reviews?) But it sounds you've got the right attitude, just keep your head down and bear it til you're ready for something better.

Human beings can be so trival and annoying. They're better to be around in small doses.

I think Blade Runner 2049 is better than the original.

How does she still have a job? I think my job fires you after your third no call no show.

Ok, new one: why do you add "u" to everything?

Color -> colour
Flavor -> flavour
Neighbor -> neighbour
Etc.

I think you’re way too obsessed with women.
