Not what i was expecting but then again they can't really show a more "complete" looking poster without giving way loads of spoilers eg. Luke, Leia, other characters etc.
This is obviously just a teaser poster rather than a full on proper movie poster.

Although we see Finn with Luke's old saber we already knew he would have it from artwork shown at SW Celebration back in April.
Cool to see that he'll actually be using it though!

That's not a theatrical poster. Nice. Looks like we'll be getting so good Struzan art all around.

Yeah, this definitely looks like a teaser poster to me. Still cool though.

Regarding all the upcoming Star Wars films, have any older directors been approached?

Why all young directors? During the early 1980s, werent there directors who were quoted as saying they would love to direct a Star Wars film?

I find it amusing how everyone talks about how young these directors Disney/Lucasfilm have picked are when most of them are middle aged or close to it. J.J. Abrams is 49, Gareth Edwards 40, Rian Johnson 41, Christopher Miller and Phil Lord are 39 and 40 respectively and Colin Trevorrow is 38. So most of them are in their early 40's or pushing 40, while the oldest one turns 50 in a year.

I understand that this is a profession where you bloom late and tend to be at your most successful later on in life (which there's absolutely nothing wrong with, experience is a good thing), but it's still a bit funny when people talk about men in their 40's like they're kids.

Can't help but notice the vertical (slightly tilted) motif, with everyone holding their weapons upward. A great poster nonetheless, a joy to hear that Struzan is back.

Should ANH be called "Han and the tykes", as well?

Daisy Ridley and John Boyega were 21/22 during the production of TFA.

Carrie Fisher was 19/20, and Mark Hamill was around 24 during the production of ANH.

People seem to forget how young Luke and Leia's characters were in ANH.
