I hope to heaven they provide actual CONTENT for the next release cuz the game is worn so very very thin and I've only played about 2 months worth.

I missed this yesterday. I appreciate the offer to help. CarlsbergAdam saw me on last night and jumped in and helped level me up from a 13 to a 19 in like 2.5 hours. I'll add you tonight, though. I've played with a bunch of people here over the last week and they're all good dudes.

Are there any of you that haven't done the nightfall and weekly yet? Once I get my guy to a 20 tonight I have enough leveled gear in the vault to make him a 30 and I'd like to run both of those tonight before the reset.

It will be no different than CE. A couple new story missions, a new strike or two, a new tower vendor with bounties and other "stuff", and a new raid. Of course, all of your old/new 331 attack weapons and 33/36 light armor will be made instantly obsolete, forcing everyone to re-grind new gear up to the new max levels.

That being said, I'll be playing the Hell out of it, along with every other die-hard Destiny addict.

Old megamenexe4 post on reddit, about the DLC House of Wolves. This is were I and everyone else gets the May 19 date for the release. There is also screen grabs of weapons and armor, in Japanese, which has recently been posted in english. A few pages back in this thread.

Is this a complete list of new content, no it is not, but it does give some insight on what to expect. I'm reposting this for all the newer players.

A buddy of mine did Crota normal for the first time with my group on Saturday. Bastard got a Hawkmoon. Then we did VoG (also his first time) and he got 2 Fatebringers on the same drop. TWO.

I don't think 331 weapons will be instantly obsolete. There's still a few 300 attack weapons I use. Most will be plenty useful for regular activities and maybe even the Normal raid. 331 won't be as useful for HM though.

eh, I was being saracastic. I know as well as everyone else that they'll just add a piddling amount and then reset all your new weapons so you have to regrind.... if the biiiiiig expansion hinted at for later in the year doesn't give the promised content I'm done with the game. when I play I actually expect something that doesn't take you 3-4 weeks to completely beat and then wait 3 months without touching the console for the next content update. I forsee this getting nowhere NEAR the 10 years they thinkthey'll get out of it. except for a sliver of die hards it will be ditched within 2 years

True. I was being a tad bit melodramatic, but all of us who've been playing since alpha/beta know what's coming. 331 weapons will be effective for everything except the hard raid, same as 300 weapons today. I think my biggest complaint once the HoW DLC drops is that it WILL make my Fatebringers and VoCs pretty much obsolete in any content over level 30. Just like with CE, I expect them to jack up the weekly/nightfall to a higher base level (32?) along with heroic levels on the new story missions. I'll hate to stop using them, as there haven't been any decent substitutes for either.

I don't think I've ever done this strike at all. Much less as the weekly/nightfall. Is it really as bad as people are saying?

With no burn, it's a pain in the ass. The end boss is nothing more than a bullet sponge.
