Looks like Filmstruck isn't offering PS3/PS4 support.
Also, this made me chuckle: Quote:

The re-wrapped Criterion thing is a bit confusing. I've ordered blu-rays from Criterion themselves that don't have the official blue sticker on them, so it's tough to hold that against B&N. Then again, it seems to happen more often with B&N for me, which makes me suspicious that they occasionally do sell items that may have been re-wrapped. Also, if you order just one or two discs, their packaging is terrible, so I would recommend not getting box sets or digipacks.

Here are all of the films available on FilmStruck.
https://watch.filmstruck.com/#!/browse-all/ EDIT: I wonder why some films like The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, which are clearly Criterion titles, do not have the symbol on the website. Last edited by Scottie; 11-03-2016 at 06:35 PM. |

It could also be that some Criterions appear to be available on the standard package. I think I saw A Hard Day's Night in the standard package. Maybe Filmstruck is using the logo to distinguish those films that are only available via the Criterion package. I'm not really sure. I just signed on last night and just had enough time to browse around and add a few titles to my watch list.

Pretty sure this is the reason. The Filmstruck promotional materials say that about 200 CC films will be part of the standard Filmstruck tier at any given time. So they probably use the CC logo to identify those films that are only available with the premium Criterion tier.

![]() Also if the English language movies have CC that would be a plus, since they don't in Hulu. BTW Silence of the Lambs has the CC logo even though it's OOP ![]() Can't wait till they port their app for my TV platform of choice ![]() Too bad there is nothing in the web interface to differentiate whether a movie is in HD or not. I've also got Shane, Once Upon a Time in the West, and Johnny Guitar that I'm very much looking forward too. Haven't seen those yet either. |

![]() Just kidding. Fanny and Alexander is a tremendously good Criterion title, and it was one of the first titles in the Collection that I upgraded from DVD to Blu-ray when I jumped formats years ago. The 322-minute television version is well worth your time. |

On a scale of 1 to Mulholland Dr., how freaky is the horror-ish element? On a scale Bambi to D2 The Mighty Ducks, how uplifting is the end? (specifically is it affirming enough to cancel out most of the bleak) |

I'm underwhelmed with Filmstruck. "Free 14-day trial!!" Whoopeee ... except I can't cast from Android to my Chromecast, and there's no iOS app to play via Airplay or native on my Apple TV.
WTF good is a new film service I can only watch on a tablet or phone?? I want to sign up with the $100/year subscription, but there's no reason to start trial that I can't watch on my TV (unless I do mirroring on my Chromecast, which would be lame). |
