I really hope that there is a happy ending for Dexter - whether it with Hannah or Deb.

Well he didn't really want anyone else besides Rita. I mean he had Lola (?) for that short fling, but Rita was the only woman that made him feel whole and feel good. After she died, he had these other women in his life. By helping them and making them feel safe and protected, I feel that he was able to get some closure and find some purpose in his life again.

Next week's episode looks great. I think The Phantom is
[Show spoiler]that guy Dexter was in the elevator with.
I have to agree with you about Isaak. He changed from this evil man into someone that Dexter could have trusted (in a weird way). I don't know what else lies in store for this season, but I know that Season 8 is going to be a continuation of it. I personally feel that
[Show spoiler]Deb will end up saving Dexter from George, and die in the process. I think Dexter will end up with Hannah McKay and they will retreat to somewhere else so that nobody can find them. It doesn't make much sense, but I don't think we'll see as grimm of an ending that everyone is expected. I personally want him to end up with Deb.

Kinda losing interest in this season.
[Show spoiler] Having said that, I really enjoyed Isaak's character. I too felt bad when he died.

It's been a pretty good season so far, but it's developing at a much slower pace than what I anticipated.
[Show spoiler]The first episode has been my favorite episode so far, but things slowed down since. The entire story about LaGuerta finding the bloodslide and looking into the BHB, the story I was looking most forward into seeing, has been dragging along. I guess they want to save most of it for Season 8, but still. Then Dexter getting into another relationship, I really don't care for that again to be honest. I thought more heat would have been on Dexter at this point. Good season, but I guess I'll have to wait until Season 8.

Indeed... And then the whole speech about him only being scared in his lifetime when his mother died and when he thought he would never see Hannah again...

Normally this is the time when the season starts ramping up but yesterday's episode felt like trying to be exciting just for the sake of it. Pacing was off and very predictable.

At first I hated the Dexter & Hannah fling, I was thinking: "get the hell out of there while you can." That was at first, now I believe they want to make the audience know that Dexter is feeling something new, this thing called love. This being said I actually love that twisted relationship and as cheesy as it may sound I loved the last line of yesterday's episode when he said; "I feel... ...safe."

I'm actually happy to see she'll be there all the way in season 7 and most probably in the season 8. (for at least one episode)
I really love season 7 it's more addictive than it ever was. (even season 4)
It's pretty tough to wait a week before each episodes though...

Really? I'm just not seeing Dexter with Hannah when all is said and done. I'd expect for her to either flee/move on kind of like Lumen or more likely bite the dust.

I'm still thinking the series will end with a lot of unanswered questions. Most likely Dexter will survive the series but a lot will probably be left to the imagination of the viewer, kind of like The Sopranos ending. I'd imagine one or more of his step kids or more likely his biological son with exhibit tendencies towards killing similar to Dexter considering the trauma all three children have been through. I'll bet they don't force feed us a solid ending to the series though.

Three more episodes left.

The arson killer seems rather tacked on right so soon after losing Ray Stevenson. And now Jason Gedrick's character is what's left of the mob storyline?

Looks like Matthews doesn't know about Dexter's dark passenger but is willing to share all the Morgan family secrets he does know.

I wish they introduced the serial killer sooner in the season, like in prior years. By the way, is it that obvious who it is?

Sundays episode was great, but I can't help but feel like the season just blew it's load with the death of Isaak at this point in time.

I really thought Hannah was going to be dead this time around though. She has been taking some situations into her own hands (the reporter) and it got her stabbed this time. Also wondering what that face she made was all about when Dexter hugged her before telling her he feels safe with her.

I like how they didn't dwell too much into the Debra in love with Dexter thing too much and both can see how those feelings were brought on with their life together where they only really had each other to rely on.

One question though.
Is Dexter going to avenge Isaak? Right after Isaak died, Dexter said something that could be interpreted two ways. He talks about revenge, and digging two holes, but also says Isaak won't be alone. It's obvious he won't be alone as Dex is burying him with Victor, but I saw a double meaning there were it appears that George will get the Dexter treatment.

The phantom firebug also seems phoned in. And yes. I agree that the bad guy is pretty obvious, unless the writers are purposely making it that obvious to throw viewers off. Dexter also promised Deb that he wouldn't take any more cases from Miami Metro making any action against the fire bug another issue between the two.

Also.. Matthews called Laguerta out on getting him canned, meaning, by now he shouldn't still be thinking it's Deb's fault.

The only issues I have with this season has to do with the new Firebug char. It seems like this char was quickly wrote in to extended the season. I would have much rather
[Show spoiler]Seen Isaak stick around until the end of this season. Isaak char was one of the best additions to the show lately.
.

The Hanna's char hasn't bugged me yet... though I do expect her to try and kill Dexter at some point w/ Deb saving him somehow, someway.

Hanna's char might start to bug me though... I don't know if anyone caught trailer for next week episode, but
[Show spoiler]Hanna's dad shows up and it seemed like Dexter was out to get him to protect her from her big bad evil dad. That just seems like it's phoned in until the Laguerta vs Dexter story kicks into high gear.

I agree about the arsonist storyline being a bit abrupt. I can only assume that Dex tries to kill him and maybe - just maybe - get's caught at the end of the season. Or, is about to get caught but the fire destroys important evidence. (Season finales often have convenient ways to tie things up).

Anyway, I always said Dexter should end with Season 7 having him get caught. And Season 8 being him being used in a Hannibal Lecter type way - to help catch another serial killer - and then have him escape at the end of the series.

Guess we'll find out soon how Laguerta's storyline is going to pan out. I have a hard time believing they are going to spend all this time on her storyline just to have it lead to nowhere. She will find out it is Dexter and he gets caught, or she will find out about Dexter and die somehow (by fire?).

I have the feeling she won't be a part of season 8. She's going to die soon.

I don't know where they could go with it... but what if Dexter's able to spin things to LaGuerta that him and Doakes were The Bay Harbor Butcher together and that the way Doakes treated him was just a cover? And then you throw in that Dexter and Miguel (who was also a good friend of LaGuerta) had their season three killing spree, maybe LaGuerta would think Dexter was doing the right thing after all.

no way, Laguerta's getting iced this season, I'm almost certain of it. either that or Angel is. one of the two is getting killed. Laguerta getting killed may take place next season though.
