Anybody can recruit in south Florida. But Miami keeps getting people who can't coach.

Oh I completely agree. With the talent that we keep getting into the program there is no excuse for 6 win seasons.

It would be great to see a great rivalry in the Big-Ten develop between Meyer's OSU and Harbaugh's Michigan teams for many years to come. I think Harbaugh will turn around Michigan fairly quick.

Unfortunately I'm not seeing another Woody vs. Bo rivalry considering both Meyer and Harbaugh and famous for not staying in one place for more than 4-5 years. Doubt either is coaching at OSU or Michigan 5 years from now.

I think this was the year Stoops should have left Oklahoma. Most coaches only last so long at a school and it seems like Oklahoma peeked years ago and things have just gotten stale there. He should have been going through the back channels (and maybe he was) to see if Florida, Michigan, or Nebraska wanted him. Plenty of NFL teams have had interest in him in the past so maybe this is the time for him to make the jump.

How about them Seniors? 43 wins, consecutive bowl victories over LSU, Ohio St, and Oklahoma, ACC Championship, BCS bowl victory. Grady and Vic will get paid next year, so it was great for Cole to put up some serious numbers in his last game. I bet by the Spring game, we find out his shoulder was in waaaay worse shape then the staff let on.

Jim Harbaugh's UM contract terms, bonuses, etc. I'm sure there are even more perks not included on this list. And no doubt if he's successful right away he can push for even more money every year or two like Saban does at Bama.

Kevin Sumlin dismissed the student assistant coach who threw cheapshots are two WVA players on the sideline during the Liberty Bowl. He also fired his pool boy for tweeting stuff about Sumlin talking on the phone.

Yesterday, Texas A&M student assistant Michael Richardson twice delivered cheap shots on West Virginia players on the sideline. He was sent to the locker room by head coach Kevin Sumlin.

Today, Kevin Sumlin issued a statement (via Barrett Sallee) that after reviewing the incidents, he was dismissing Michael Richardson from the program. He also apologized to the West Virginia players and staff.

It was not a good day to end up on coach Sumlin’s bad side. Apparently, the person cleaning out his pool decided to tweet about it and make a phone call public knowledge. Remember kids, you don’t have to put everything on social media.

They (Meyer and Harbaugh) have a great deal in common. Namely that they are both prickly (accent on the first syllable) personalities who will have no equity to fall back on if and when the programs slip into mediocrity.
