You're the one taking it serious. I posted a reply of his Nolan is trash at sound mixing and you responded by saying Bane was fine in your subjectivity and then went off on about the characters in all his films, something I didn't even bring up. Thats your issue. You are so random at everything. Someone says they like a lower rated film, cause it's an unpopular opinion, then you chime in saying how they're wrong yet you prefer a completely off topic film no one brought up. "I think Batman and Robin is the best Batman movie" "Wrong. Nolan's trilogy is the best. Here's what Ebert said. But I think Apocalypse Now is better than TDK" Like what? |

Put a movie onto a series of punch cards, run them through the computer, and the computer will measure all the facets and tell us which is best.

When I go through a filmmaker's filmography, I make sure to see everything I possibly can no matter the reputation of the individual films. It just seems like the fairest thing to do.
I'm currently going through Howard Hawks' filmography (last night was The Big Sky). One movie I would have definitely skipped had I allowed "reputation" to guide me was Today We Live, a WWI drama starring Gary Cooper about a British naval officer and Cooper's American aviation officer vying for the hand of a British woman. The reviews on the IMDB dismissed it as melodrama and nothing else. 5.9/10, not worth your time. I ended up loving it. It's vastly misunderstood by the few people who have actually seen it. If I had let the measurable facets guide me, dictating which were worthwhile and which were not, I'd have skipped it completely. I'm glad I decided to figure out for myself.
