yes. only 1000 copies made of the set in total (i.e. the release itself will NOT be reissued in any form after the 1000 are sold) and there are about 50 or so left before going OOP!

Is Tag a film due a release by Third Window Films, or has that been picked up elsewhere, or of no interest?

So it's getting a UK release at some point? That is good news.

Probably only dvd

Such a shame as it is such a brilliant film!

Hopefully it'll at least get a HD iTunes release or something.

I'd imagine bluray for sure as the company who picked it up releases a lot of titles on bluray over dvd

From Facebook. Any guesses?

"Now preparing masters of the next director we'll be focusing on after spending a lot of time on Kitano and Tsukamoto.
Similar style to Tsukamoto. Late 90s/early 00s indie Japanese director.
Never had any works on bluray before
Small box set in the works!
Who could it be???"

Also added:

"maybe I should have put "similar style to Sogo Ishii" as a little closer to him than Tsukamoto.."

Has to be SABU, very poorly represented on disc in UK (Europe generally?).

I'd be very happy with a Sabu boxset...I've only seen his first 5 movies but they are all great.

Takashi Miike? Sion Sono?

The last sentence throws me off though as both have a few BRs out.

SABU has four films released on Blu-ray in Japan and that statement means no Blu-ray releases anywhere in the world (right?), so I don't think it's him. But I can't think of anyone who'd fit the criteria.

Third Window mentioned a couple weeks back a promising meeting for the rights to three Toshiaki Toyoda films - Unchained, Pornostar, and 9 Souls, so maybe that's what this boxset is?

I haven't seen any of his films yet, or Sogo Ishii's, so I'm not sure how similar.

SABU would be welcome too as I quite enjoyed Postman Blues, the one film of his I've seen so far.
