I suppose that may go on a little but I bet a lot of peoples collections are legit.
Maybe, maybe not. In my experience with trading, a lot of times, people forget to delete stuff that they've traded away or forget to add stuff that they received/bought recently. I don't even bother looking at the number of movies that people "have" anymore.

most people will use the bluray.com database to know what movie they already own. why should someone want to show of with his collection? there will be always someone that has way more movies anyway..

Just take a look at the "Pictures of Your Haul!" and "Pictures of Your Collection!" threads to see all the showing off going on.

Not even the newer releases with the extra features?

Do you have the DVDs? They actually have more Bonus Features than the Blus.

Plus, the new cover art is so ugly.

True enough I have forgot to take off movies I have sold from time to time.

Without a doubt, but some people see their Blu-ray collection as some see their home theatre gallery.

I definitely agree the new cover art is ugly. However, it looks like they have all the major features -- what, other than galleries or bios, is missing?

The fact that Spider-Man has both the standard DVD commentary and the Superbit commentary and that 2 has both 2 and 2.1 on it make those discs seem like a significant upgrade over the DVDs. I know 3 lost a whole bonus disc, though.

Well, I would still get the first release of Spider-Man 3. It has two discs and is now OOP. The re-release drops the Bonus Features Disc.

I buy lots of Blu-Rays in pawnshops to save money and you can easily find the 2-disc Spider-Man 3. Actually, you can find all three of these releases, which in this area would run you $12. Not that what's easy to do in my area necessarily has any bearing on anyone else, but I bet it's similar all over the country.

Well, OOP just means that Sony isn't making anymore. Availability is another matter. I've seen places mark Spider-Man 3 down to $1.

Has anybody actually watched this on a real Sony 4K up scaling Blu-ray player and 4K UHDTV? And compared it with a regular BD and HDTV side by side?

I don't think I'd re-watch the other two movies again and again though...

Just ordered Spider-Man 2, Godzilla, Men In Black. Still considering Angels & Demons even though it isn't the extended cut.

Also ordered The Amazing Spider-Man since I didn't have that one. I don't really care about the extras.

Been really impressed with the ones I've already bought (Spider-Man, Ghostbusters & Karate Kid).

I really like high the higher bitrate deals with the grain & the razor sharp image.

lol Spidey 2 really impressed me initially and it came along at the perfect time in my life for me to fully appreciate it. I could really relate to Peter Parker in that film but it's been years since I've seen it so I'm not so sure how it holds up.

I was disappointed by Spider-Man 2 when I saw it at the theater and I'm still disappointed by it today. It doesn't have a patch on the first Spider-Man which even though hasn't aged gracefully is still a fun ride.

I actuelly prefer the flawed Spider-Man 3 to Spider-Man 2, that's how much I dislike 2.

This is the part I can't wrap my head around. On top of this Spider-man 2 may be the best film of Alfred Molina's career. IMHO 3 is so mediocre that it makes 1 and 2 look that much better. Whoever cast whiny and wimpy Topher Grace as Venom should be mauled.

Yeah, the ending to that scene should have been trimmed. It went on too long. And the joke is lame, but I remember laughing quite a bit at some of the other comedy in Spidey 2.

Whenever Tobey Maguire makes his strained facial expressions however, I cringe.

By the way, Doc Ock alone makes it the best of the trilogy.
