You'll have to pester FUNi for a domestic Mushishi S1 BD as AoA will never acquire it. It's too old for them, and not to mention Aniplex had absolutely no involvement with the first series. FUNi got S1 from Kodansha and Marvelous Entertainment.

So today will mark new blu-ray and licenses? Hoping to see Owarimonogatari and Kizumonogatari. If we're lucky, we'll see Kizumonogatari announced for late this year. Charge me full Japanese price, I don't care. Just license and subtitle it (Quickly!).

Kizumonogatari II Film Slated for August 19

The Okayama branch of the Animate store chain posted a photograph of the promotional signboard for the Kizumonogatari project. The signboard confirms that the project's second film, Kizumonogatari II: Nekketsu-hen (Passionate Blood), will open in Japan on August 19.

The first film in the trilogy, Kizumonogatari I: Tekketsu-hen (Iron and Blood), opened in Japanese theaters on January 8.

Kizumonogatari is the third volume in NisiOisin's Monogatari book series and is a prequel to Bakemonogatari. It tells the story of how protagonist Koyomi encounters the female vampire that would turn him and his journey to return to his normal life. Vertical released the novel in English last year.

Akiyuki Simbo is once again credited as chief director at the anime studio SHAFT, and Tatsuya Oishi is the director. Akio Watanabe and Hideyuki Morioka are designing the characters. Yota Tsuruoka is directing the sound, and Satoru Kousaki is composing the music.

Yeah, it's been mentioned, on reddit and twitter. Aniplex will probably show it in theaters like part 1. Hopefully they open up more theaters.

Aniplex did release Silver Spoon, but it was DVD only.

Kinda sad that Owarimonogatari will be released into 2 volumes. It's going to be the only part of the series that won't have all the blu-ray cover arts transferred over. They might be able to squeeze the remaining art it into the blu ray slip cases but it wouldn't be the same. That or they'll do postcards which is probably likely. Can't let Akio Watanabe's art be unseen!

Not a single one I can afford with my budget. Makes me even wonder how I was able to buy a single Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack Volume of 1 of their shows to begin with.
