It's not. This new one is a 35mm scan from the OCN.

I wish they sent out emails when there are delays. Posting a message on social media isn't an effective way to reach all your customers. Delays happen though; strange to be confrontational with a company about it. They're not doing it on purpose to screw with you.

I reckon Social Media is generally the easiest, fastest and most convenient way to do it, and it'll still reach everyone eventually. Mass-email has been pretty much done away with outside of these companies announcing sales or new products.

I do agree that getting pissed about delays is just plain moronic and says much about that person's character. It's the same story with shipping delays during or after sales, or just shipping delays in general. People endlessly complain about having to wait and wait and wait as if they're being singled out by the company they ordered from, or as if said company is just doing it for no reason. The sense of entitlement is just insane to me.

I'm not sure it does reach everyone eventually. It requires you to follow them on social media and see the post, which in my case I usually don't see these posts in my feed. If it weren't for these forums I wouldn't know what was going on. I'm sure there customers who don't use social media or forums so those people are just left in the dark.

Direct communication through emails or posting a message on the front of their webpage explaining the delay is a better way to communicate (along with the social media, which should be included. But it shouldn't be their primary way of informing customers).

Pretty much all this. I don't want to even have to follow them on social media; but even if I did it's not like I see everything that gets posted. I probably miss most of what's on my twitter feed. I don't even have a facebook account.

They have our email addresses from when we bought the things. Sending out a quick alert about delays should be simple.

LOL people so impatient. Yes, I'd like Hardgore right now to watch but isn't like we can do anything about manufacturing delays outside of their hands and isn't like we don't have an ever growing pile of unwatched discs we've been getting...just be cool.

Ordered "Hard Gore" over 10 days ago now, and they say it only takes 5-7 days for delivery... why the slacking?

I've sent two emails to Massacre Video asking why the Mahakaal Movie + T-Shirt combo only gives Small as an option when they have other sizes in stock, but it's been months now with no response.

That is the normal response. I wanted to get the Devil package and there was no price for shipping to Canada. There was no reply - and It's over a year now.

I yanked the two movies I pre-ordered from my collection here because I want to see if I'll genuinely forget I ordered them when I finally get them.

I’m astonished by how slow Massacre Video moves. “Imminent” seems to mean “two-to-three months… maybe.”

Maybe they use the Raro model where you wait for enough pre-orders to justify manufacturing. Might be a looong wait

I actually received a response to an email I sent asking about the delays, but it was a half-assed response saying they “don’t have the time” to email buyers informing them of the delay and that the blu rays will ship “any day now”—that was last week.

I said June earlier as a joke. Now it feels ambitious.

Massacre Video have always been dreadful about keeping customers in the loop but their recent trolling of customers is really baffling to me. Like, they don't respond to emails because they're too busy (plausible, though easily remedied), they don't post updates on social media because...why?

Then they make fun of the people who want to buy from them? I do like some of the releases they put out, like The Devil, Hack-o-Lantern and Mahakaal but I've decided I won't be getting the represses of the Chester N Turner movies. 1, because I believe they're hurriedly repressing them before someone else puts out a blu-ray (likely AGFA+Bleeding Skull or Saturn's Core), and 2 because I don't want to support them by buying direct again. I know they offer some decent enough perks direct, like slipcovers or t shirts, but I don't like their attitude towards customers. Are they really so much smaller than Unearthed Films? They don't treat customers so badly. They're upfront with their problems. And I remember when 88 were a tiny company, and they've grown a lot. MV haven't. Someone there has a real attitude problem and I won't buy from them again and I will avoid buying their titles from Diabolik unless it's an absolute must have.

Yeah, it's off putting and why I said I won't buy MBTS. If anybody doesn't know they constantly post this like this on social media. Do they think it's quirky or endearing?

Also I don't think AGFA is gonna put out the CNT stuff. They aren't just allowed to put out any SOV stuff.
