As we've said here and other places before, the goal is one a month. Hopefully we will get there soon.

We aren't ready to make any definitive comments on the extras for CUTTER now, sorry.

YEEEEES!!!!!! I love, love, love Natural Enemies. It's depressing as hell, but the performances are great and it's a terrific film. FCE is killing it with their lineup.

Not just the highlight of the partner labels, this bests some of Vinegar Syndrome's own announcements.

Glad to see the excitement for NATURAL ENEMIES, thanks all.

One thing not on the listing, a late addition: an alternate ending.

I've been curious about this movie since I saw it listed in SCREEN WORLD. I don't remember its theatrical release, nor do I remember it playing on cable or even a VHS release. You would think that it would be more well known, considering the cast.

Cannot believe my eyes -- NATURAL ENEMIES(?!) -- I must be dreaming. I love this film, and as soon as I discovered it (on YouTube) I asked Jeff Kanew via Twitter if there's a decent print for a possible restoration/Blu-ray release and he said that the only copy he knows exists is on VHS. FCE have gone beyond on this one. Without a doubt one of Holbrook's finest performances. All of FCE editions have been steller, but this feels like a true unearthing.

Will it be an option to watch it with the original ending as well?

Or is the new ending like a "George Lucas Special Edition" thing??

You know... where it's now the new standard and the old one be damned...

Nothing personal against you, but this sure is one of the dumbest posts in a while.. Why would a label ever replace the existing ending with the alternate one? Also, how often does a disc allow you to watch the alternate ending as a part of the actual feature? I think jah13 would've said so if this was the case. I'm sure it'll be just a bonus feature, just like the extra sequences on their Rancho Deluxe release, for example. But if I'm wrong, color me stupid.

Listen pal... you don't have to be such a snarky jerk. It's a perfectly valid question. We have little information at this point about this.

Maybe the Director worked with FCE and decided to amend his original ending...

Maybe the "best-surviving element, a 35mm deposit print held by the Library of Congress" had the alternate ending only...

Maybe a lot of things... all he said was it featured an alternate ending... nothing else... which is pretty vague.

I'm not suggesting FCE would ever decide to change an ending of a film... maybe they didn't have a choice based on the print or Director's input.

It's a valid question... all I wanted was some clarification.

And hopefully jah will answer it...

But until then... all I've got now is another candidate for my ignore list.

Have a nice life.

This is a really solid label. Every title is interesting. Glad they could rescue the Holbrook title. I too figured all was lost when Bananaman said no film elements existed.

Check my post history, pal. Very few snarky comments. You just made a post that you're now embarrassed by. You're the troll who has to push their negativity into every thread— "I hope they don't do this", "They better not do that".

jah wrote there will be an alternate ending, not a new replacement ending. I think it's pretty clear.

The alternate ending is just what it says it is.

It dates from 1979 and will be included as a video extra feature, with some accompanying historical context.

I'll leave it at that until the disc is released, for more details to be filled in.
