I wonder why it isn't avaliable for preorder at Best Buy. Yet, The Addams Family 4K, which is release 3 weeks after Scream 4K, is up for preorder.

I preordered the steelbook copy from Amazon a few weeks ago just in case Best Buy doesn’t have it or it’s more expensive.

It was available to pre order on Best Buy as a lot of orders already been done

Best Buy list coming soon often after they been previously been live to order

Just received the new re-issue of Scream 2 from Best Buy (my Scream 3 disc is delayed).

Unfortunately, but not unexpectedly, it is the same disc as before (you can tell as new Paramount discs have English and French subs, this has English and Spanish).

Hoping for a full 4k collection of the series next year (but not getting my hopes up).

Can't say I'm shocked. I was expecting 2 and 3 to be the same discs that've made the rounds since 2011 (although I was hoping otherwise, especially since 2 is pretty on par with the first one, quality-wise).

As you said, here's to hoping that the full series gets the 4K treatment (at least once the new movie hits home video).

Is the Scream on HBO Max the 4K scan? It looked really good last night, but I'm curious if it could be different than what is coming on disc.. I'm assuming so, considering the bluray scan was pretty shoddy.

I checked it on HBO Max about 4 or 5 months ago, it was the old transfer. They removed it, but I haven't looked since they put it back on there.

All the streamers have stuff licensed from rival studios. Got to cycle stuff out from one to another to keep things fresh for the users that don't subscribe to all of them.

I'm not subscribed right now or I'd check to see if it's different from what was on there a few months ago. Unfortunately, I am not signing up again until October for Curb Your Enthusiasm and Last Week Tonight. Maybe I'll get that free trial week during the last week of this month and I'll check.

Scream 2 would be my favorite if not for the killer reveal. I didn't like the ending to any of the sequels but part 2 is still the most fun to rewatch.

Just to circle back to this - it's the same old POS 1080p master. I checked it last night. I actually watched for a few minutes and skipped around "admiring" just how god-awful it is. And not because it's streaming - just the inherent crappiness of the master itself.

Making me look forward to this even more - and, also, so sad that we didn't see 2 and 3 done at the same time.

Still haven't decided between the regular and Steel...but I think I am leaning about 60/40 right now in favor of the regular...Drew is just growing on me.

Soz if this is common knowledge, but the UK release is definitely accompanied by a Blu-ray. Amazon updated the art.

It's with Lionsgate I believe, it'll probably go on Tubi when it leaves Showtime. They seem to show a lot of their stuff. So does Showtime and Prime for that matter.
