These are point spreads for potential national championship game match ups I found. Obviously the latter matchup is by far the most likely.

Oregon would be favored by 6.5 over Ohio St.
Alabama would be favored by 2.5 over Oregon.

This is the 5th this season (and the 4th that is currently ranked).

So glad there is at least a four team playoff. FSU didn't deserve to play for the championship like they would have under the BCS system.

I think he was talking about where the team ended the season rather than when they played them. Nobody cares about the ranking of the team early in a season. I think Oregon will be the 3rd ranked team FSU played to end the season.
